Mid-Ship Balcony (BA) Cabin Reviews

Great Itinerary : Cabin 10606
Sail Date: June 2018
There were 3 of us sharing the cabin. The bathroom was tight to move around in with not enough storage space. It was difficult getting to the balcony with the sofa bed being open.

Had everything we needed. Bathroom was sufficient. Towels plentiful. Coffee maker and hairdryer available. Tv was ok but in all honest not enough selections of tv shows. Movies were available to rent but $9.95 is a bit much. We might have rented one if it were $5 or less. And although we could get free coffee in the buffet to get a baileys in coffee cost an extra $2 in the bar to pay for the coffee. We also tried to get into the Japanese restaurant 3 days in a row and they were booked every day. Good for you but disappointing to us Read Less

The cabin size was adequate. Our steward was excellent. Although we were near the elevator, you didn't hear any hall noise.

It was well maintained and our steward was very professional in his duties. We did find the space a bit cramped though and would have had a bit more wiggle room had we chosen a cabin with a more square footage. Also, we discovered paint chips on the balcony floor from day one. Although it was cleaned up each day, we found this to be persistent almost towards the end of the cruise, at which point we made a complaint to the front desk and the cabin steward who in turn said that it would be reported. We have no idea what was chipping away, but surmise that it was coming from the ceiling. Read Less

The cabin was in a great location, only a couple of floors above the atrium and three floors down from the Garden Cafe.

Small, enough storage area, we like the coffee in the room and the mini fridge. It was great to have the balcony on the sea days, pool gets to congested for my taste

The cabin is located halfway between two sets of stair cases. Standard 2 twin (convertable to queen) bed, couch that turns into a third bed during turn down. It's not the most comfortable due to the ridges and fixtures to turn it into a bed. Noticed the in-room air wasn't working properly. From NYC, it was blowing out AC even though we set it to "warmer". There was no dial to turn down the fan so it was constantly blowing. Wasn't a big deal as we headed to the Caribbean where we needed the AC. On the return, though, it felt colder as the outside temperatures were dropping. "Warmer" still wasn't warming and the fan was going full tilt. Asked our room steward for assistance, it wasn't something he could fix. Hopefully the engineers or whomever he put in a request will get that adjusted for the next cruisers. The room steward gave us fleece-like blackets that were warmer than what was provided in the room. Nonetheless, my sister got a cold because the air flow direction was towards her side of the room.
