WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!

Review for Norwegian Gem to Bahamas

I thought this was gonna be the funnest experience ever since this was my birthday cruise… but because they don’t social distance or anything, especially on the COVID pre board testing, I ended up catching the flu and had to stay in my room the remainder of the cruise!! Not cool! And I told them can I at least get some type of credit for my next trip and they said no that they don’t do that. This ...

Norwegian Cruise Line Isn’t Ready For Cruises

Review for Norwegian Gem to Caribbean - Western

I debated writing this review for sometime for so many reasons. The one thing that can summarize this review is that Norwegian Cruise Line Isn’t ready. They aren’t ready to sail after COVID 19. I just got back yesterday from a 7 night cruise to ports in Belize, Cozumel, Honduras and Costa Maya on the Norwegian Gem. This cruise was by far my worst experience with any cruise line. I love cruising ...

We disembarked 2 weeks ago today on 10.03.21. I wrote another review from our 1st cruise on NCL Gem after we disembarked on 09.05.2021. It was such a wonderful ship and cruise that I have to write another review. We did the Western AGAIN. We've sailed on NCL Sky, Escape, Epic and 2 times on Gem since our kids bought us our 1st sailing as a Christmas gift on Sky in 2017. I believe we are ...

JUST DO IT!

Review for Norwegian Gem to Caribbean - Western

When arriving to the terminal, NCL has taken the step of having a "free" Covid 19 test preformed on ALL passengers before being allowed to embark. LOL! NCL Gem was amazing, we did the Western Cruise and the food was top notch, the entertainment was awesome, The Duo show, Kinky Boots, The Comedian and much more were ALL AWESOME! The crew is wonderful, we gave out $5 bills & singles to the staff, ...

I chose this cruise because my senior community was running a group trip including bus transportation to/from NY port. Embarkation was orderly, but the lines to check in were very long, but once we got to the desk it was a breeze from there. We ate lunch at the maining dining room then our rooms were ready. Our balcony cabin "BA" was the only balcony room choice we had. We did try to upgrade to ...

Panama Canal 21 day cruise

Review for Norwegian Gem to Panama Canal & Central America

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the fact that it left San Francisco and ended in New York. Being from the East Coast, we only had to fly one way. This cruise had 13 port stops which was wonderful. The ship was almost all senior citizens which we expected due to the length of the cruise. We met some wonderful people from all over the world and it was so interesting talking ...

NYC to SF the long way

Review for Norwegian Gem to Panama Canal & Central America

This was our 11th cruise on NCL. We chose it because we wanted to do a full transit of the canal. First off, the cruise was 20 days. We booked a port balcony cabin on deck 10 somewhat forward. This was our third time on the Gem, a ship we really like because it has excellent public spaces (Spinnaker lounge, outdoor fantail dining, promenade deck) that the larger NCL ships don’t seem to have. ...

We ordered 2 photo books, they were really expensive, ordered 3 days before getting off ship but after 3 days of run arounds we received them 10 minutes before getting off ship. Was not able to look at them until we got home only to find out every other page was upside down and there were streaks from printer down the photo. Called to complain and was told we had to file a complaint online. went ...

Very Disappointed

Cruising was always about the food, meals, and buffets. I take it this is a thing of the past. The goal is to get you to spend extra money for better food in the "Special Dining Rooms". We went to breakfast in the Grand Pacific, the main dining room. Waffles were served cold, pancakes were dried out and cold, a piece of toast was cold and soggy, probably from sitting in a warming tray, and the ...

Another Amazing Vacation

I really wanted to do this route and visit these islands. The islands were great! I have been on the Norwegian Gem 4 time previously and this time the ship was a little under staffed which I really wasn’t too happy about but overall the we had an amazing time. I had an amazing person cleaning my room every day and a regular bartender who took care of our drinks, I Ketut Darmadi from Indonesia was ...
