Trans Atlantic Rome to NYC
"Ports were all fantastic and cannot wait to go back One comment, the Atrium in the evening would crowd up when they would have a show there (not sure why when the main theatre was empty). We saw them 2 times and they did a 3rd show plus an evening in the Atrium where they sang show tunes...."Read More

We had never done a transatlantic before and we're not getting any younger, so we figured now or never...and never wasn't an option. We had a Mediterranean cruise on the Escape canceled in May, 2020 and were determined to do this one. The ship itself was practically spotless. The crew was extremely friendly, always smiling and greeting you in the hallways. Our cabin steward, Ryan, was superb. ...

We chose this cruise based on the itinerary. 11 ports and finishing up in New York City. We were going to visit our daughter in Virginia after the cruise. We spent three nights in Rome. Weather was fabulous, however many Italians were on vacation for the all saints break. Rome consequently it was very very crowded. We still enjoyed it and explored areas we have not visited before. Boarding the ...

1ST Transatlantic Trip

This was our first transatlantic trip. We have sailed on Norwegian before and really had no issues. I can't say enough about the staff they were great, friendly and accommodating. My husband uses a walker, and they attended to his needs at all times. Love the performances and shows, except the one duo, who had no personality at all on stage, they looked bored. The Entertainment Team did an ...

I chose this cruise because I enjoy transatlantic sailings. We embarked at Civitavecchia, visited Livorno, Cannes, Barcelona, Alicante, Malaga, Cadiz, Lisbon, Ponta Delgada and disembarked at my home port, New York City. We had seven fun filled sea days. There were alot of trivia games offered. NCL Escape has great entertainment and dining was also very good. Lobster is offered as an upcharge in ...

Buffet was bedlam!

A friend was going on it and invited my wife and I. Like the entertainment and food. Ship was filled to capacity, a little less that 4800 passengers according to a trivia tiebreaker answer, Just too many people. Since the taste restaurant closed for breakfast somewhat early [9am in port or 9:30 at sea] we many times got stuck at the buffet, which was absolute BEDLAM. Hard to find a seat, loud ...

We chose to try a cruise from Europe rather than a cruise from The United States because we wanted to see how other people live, eat, travel and converse with others. Our trip from New York to Barcelona was fantastic, and upon landing in Barcelona, we were able to see a few of their amazing artifacts, architecture, eateries and attractions, which were all truly enjoyable. Be sure you have ...

Overall Very Good

I was thrilled to be on the Inaugural trans Atlantic sailing of the ESCAPE. I flew to London the day before, took the National Express Bus to Southampton, over nighted at a local hotel and took a cab to the ship. It was the UK so of course it was cloudy and raining. The dock is very convenient to town. The check in was a nightmare. Lines snaked all over the place. The only Latitude check in was ...

I'll be quick: This is my 15th cruise and 2nd on NCL... The balcony cabin Deck 11 was what you would expect. Be sure to use the 2 large drawers that are at the base of the sofa for storage. Shower was a just bit larger than other ships. TV signal was poor but that's not what you're here for. Bed was comfortable. Entertainment was first-rate with all kinds of music to enjoy. Food in ...

If this had been our first cruise it would also have been our last, fortunately we have previously cruised with Cunard and P & O. Panic on 1st night as one of our cases was missing, due to rough treatment the label had gone missing, I had even gone to the trouble of covering paper tag with cellotape to ensure it would not rip. another case had the pull up handle broken so that was fun to move at ...
