Lovely Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

This is our 4th Norwegian cruise and my husband and I have cruised 30+ times. We decided to take another Norwegian cruise, after the past two years of not so great of an experience on Carnival. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and had a lovely time. *Food was delicious and expertly prepared; including on the buffet. Food on our past two cruises with Carnival was truly terrible / some inedible ...

Escape is not the ship for us...but still fun

This was our first time on one of NCL's larger ships - and may be our last. The layout of the Escape leaves something to be desired, because when ship is at full capacity it's hard to even walk properly on some decks. We spent over an hour trying to find just two chairs together on any deck on the sea days - and I'm not exaggerating. The atrium area gets so crowded for shows that you cannot even ...

Disregard the negative reviews

This was our first cruise and NCL has made us return customers. I had read some of the reviews on this site prior to sailing and was a little concerned! After our 7 days, there was absolutely nothing bad enough that would keep us from coming back. The highs: the staff, the activities for kids (ours are 2 & 4), the rooms, the cleanliness, the constant cleaning, the food, the itinerary, ship ...

Beautiful Ship but much too overcrowded

After sailing on RCL Odyssey of the Seas and Wonder of the Seas we noticed a definite decline in the quality of the food, the cabin service and certain alcohol selections. While RCL has diminished it's food quality in exchange for a "Quick Meal Menu" NCL"s food selections and actual preparation with attention to taste is far superior. RCL's cabin service has been cut down from daily to once a ...

Dissapointing Cruise

We chose this cruise because we were able to make it work for all six of us in our group. The entertainment offerings were sorely lacking. The only show that we enjoyed was The Choir of Man, and that show was only available a couple evenings. We ate in the dining room “Savor” three times, at “Teppanyaki” once, “Moderno” twice and “The supper Club” once. The food was good everywhere except at ...

My family and I have always loved cruising with NCL. We have referred them to multiple people and always chose them over the others. However this sailing will be our last . It's our first cruise since COVID-19, and what a disappointment! Food has gone downhill; good steak or lobster? That's extra now! Wife made reservations months ago for the Savor since we are traveling as a small group of 13, ...

Not the best Norwegian cruise I’ve been on

First, I will start with the things that we liked. My eight-year-old absolutely loves splash Academy. He begged to go there every time they open. Staff is great and they really love the kids. The waiters at the restaurants are very accommodating. We had a show to get to early in the evening and they were sure to get our food out quickly so that we were not late. The complimentary dining rooms had ...

Outstanding experience on all levels

This ship surpassed all of our expectations. Ports were awesome, St. Thomas was beautiful and so was Great Stirrup Cay. DR port had a great pool and lazy river. Not too many food options that were not American faves at ports, so we just ate back on the ship! Tortola was nice for shopping, did not do excursion or beach there. Pool could be bigger. The Food and service was the best we have ...

Cruising is back – easily one of my best and most enjoyable cruises!

This was cruise #9 for me, #6 with Norwegian and my first time on the Escape. This was a full-occupancy+ cruise, with ~4800 passengers and 1600 crew. The Breakaway class is really the perfect balance of everything you need in cruising and the ship’s public spaces are big enough that you never feel crowded. Check-in at the port was a breeze. I basically did not stop moving, with staff helpfully ...

Interior room experience

Guests: Two females aged 57, 61. We chose this cruise because of the ports and to just relax in sun and read. It was our first time in an interior room. Embarkation was a breeze even tho it was raining. We had a hard time at first finding our way around but staff was very helpful. We arrived at port at 11.30, got in our room by 1.00 and had our luggage by 4.00. Note: apparently there were 3 bags ...
