Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window (OA) Cabin Reviews

Sail Date: June 2019
Large family ocean view room with tub and shower. The room was nice but the couch was worn and there were springs poking thru on the mattress. The TV was too far down the hall way to see from any angle.

Our cabin was very spacious and we certainly enjoyed having a front facing room. I am 6'4 and I felt that the room was big enough for me to enjoy it. Everything the room has to offer was great. The nightstands have ample lighting and USB Ports. There are 3 plugs in the main cabin area that are plentiful. The storage space was amazing, and the closet was great. I was amazed at how many storage spots our room had to offer. On our next cruise, we will certainly get a balcony room and relax more. Since this was our first cruise, we didn't get to fully enjoy the benefits of room service, and instead used all the restaurants on the ship. The room service menu is very big, and in the morning you have the option to choose from several free items. Anything else that is not free is only charged $7.95 each time you order. So you can order as much as you want for $7.95. Read Less

We thought it was great, the same as on all our other Norwegian ships. We liked having a window looking forward, since we were at the very front of the ship. But we also wish the staff would respect the sign in the bathroom saying that if you wanted to keep your towels, to keep them hung up. We never wanted our towels changed, so we kept them hung, but they were still changed every single time we had used them only once. If you're going to put that sign up, then they should respect what it's saying. Read Less

We had an oceanview stateroom (5102), and really loved it. There was plenty of space and storage space, and we enjoyed being able to watch the scenery out of our large window. Our room steward, Roberto, was one of the best we have ever had, as he was always friendly, upbeat, and happy to accommodate any requests. The location was pretty close to the front of the ship, which meant that we did feel some motion. We selected the room location hoping that it would be quiet at night, and for the most part it was. The cabin was just the right size for accommodating two people. It was always maintained in a clean and neat fashion. We have to give credit and compliment our steward, Cleward Saldanha, for that. Additionally, he was always courteous, friendly and took an interest in the things we did and that we were enjoying the cruise. As a matter of fact, we wrote a "vacation hero card" on him. We also wrote a card on the cruise director, Andre Gaffney. Those two jobs on the ship are as different as night and day, except for one thing - they did what the job called for required of each of them, but then went the extra mile to assure we were having a good time.
