The cabin was a strange shape and was comfortable but our cabin door opened to a poll and getting in and out of the cabin was a little difficult! We had enough hangers and there were a lot of shelves but no drawers which I really missed. The desk was quite small but was well light with LED lights above the mirror. We were in a perfect location 5 cabins from the elevator and within easy access to the Atrium just up one flight of stairs. The gangway in most of the ports was one flight downstairs and we could be in our cabin within two minutes when coming back to the ship and didn't have to fight a crowd for an elevator. Read Less

Great size! Oversized bathroom with tub, double sink made getting 2 kids ready a breeze. Location was perfect for those with little ones. I would choose this room over a balcony room, as the extra room for the kids made it well worth it. There is ample storage space, and a curtain that separates the couch/kids bunks from our bed. 2 televisions allowed for the kids to have their own at bedtime. Great value for the price! Read Less

We lucked out and got an accessible oceanview cabin (5740) on deck 5. This was the best room we have ever had in over 25 cruises. It was bigger than most hotel rooms and had tons of storage. Our kids (ages 7 and 4) really enjoyed the extra space as well as the bunk bed. Other than the lack of a bathtub (which the rest of the family oceanview cabins had), there was no downside to this room. Read Less

We originally booked an inside cabin, but a few weeks before the cruise we were given the opportunity to "bid" on an upgrade. We bid $250 for either an ocean view or balcony, and ended up with the ocean view. Our cabin was at the front of the ship; the view from our window was the same as on the deck cam. There was a space under the sloping ceiling, which was perfect for sitting or opening our suitcases. The one improvement I would make is a better chair for the desk. Cabin steward was great; got towel animals almost every night. Read Less

This room setup was great. We loved having a large bathroom with a tub and the kids had their own space. Having their beds near the window allowed us to get them settled, close the curtain and then get ourselves ready. There was so much storage, we actually had empty drawers. Our room attendant was pleasant and did a decent job. The first night she didn't leave a towel animal and my 7 yo was sad. I asked her nicely the next day if she could do one for him and she said of course and every night there was one there. It wasn't a huge deal, but it made him so excited to come home every night to see what was waiting for him. The one complaint was that our room shared a wall with Splash Academy and we could hear them. Especially when they were using microphones to page the kids being picked off. I had a white noise app on my phone and we were able to block it out. Also this room and our neighbors was separate frkm the hall and where the crew were working a lot. Again fine, but if you are noise sensitive, this may not be the room for you. Read Less

Cabin (5164 Family Oceanview/10246 Balcony): We booked the O1 midship (5164). The cabin was similar to the floorplan images available on NCL.com. It seemed plenty spacious. There was a decent separation between the queen bed and childs sleeping area. We just used the couch that converted to bed for our daughter. There was also a drop-down bunk from the ceiling. The bathroom was very good size. It was probably the size of a older home (60s/70s) full bathroom. There is a full tub/shower instead of a stall, and the sink is a double sink. There was also plenty of shelving/cabinet space in there. They provide shower shampoo/conditioner and body soap, as well as liquid hand soap at the sink. Just note that if you are taller than 6’2”, you will have to hunch over to fit in the shower. I’m 6’0” and there was probably 2 inches above my head in the shower. Our daughters favorite part of the cabin was the large window area. She would actually sit up there and shut the curtain, and play on her tablet while we were in the cabin. She loved it. I don’t really have anything negative to say about the actual cabin, other than the room between the foot of the bed and the wall, which is less than a foot. We did have a problem with this cabin though. UNBELIEVABLE NOISE!!!! This cabin is below the Atrium’s seating area between the internet kiosks and the guest services area. That seating area has about 4 sofas and 12-16 chairs. Each of the first 4 nights, there was an activity going on in the Atrium lounge area at the big screen. We didn’t really hear anything from the activity. However, during these activities, we did hear people moving all of the furniture from the window area that it is meant to be over near the middle of the ship. The dragging of the furniture literally sounded like we were in a metal box while the roof of that box was being ripped off. It was as loud as someone yelling right next to you. Needless to say, it woke us up. Waking up my wife and I is fine. Waking up my 6 year old, I get upset. This would go on from about 9pm to 2am. The activities weren’t that long, but the furniture would be moved several times, maybe some pieces at different times, throughout that timeframe. This caused my daughter to wake up, be in a daze and cry. It also caused all of the other children in the surrounding cabins to wake up. There were smaller kids in the cabins around us. Those kids, from no fault of their own, would start screaming for the next 15 minutes until their parents would calm them down. Then it would happen all over again 20-60 minutes later. And so on...
