Our cabin was excellent! The balcony was angled, which gave it a little more room. You can't really see that water from the balcony because the roof of the Waterfront is connected to it, so that is what you see when looking off of your balcony. A higher deck would be a better water view. Gilbert, our room attendant, was EXCELLENT! SUPER! THE BEST I EVER HAD! Plenty of storage for 2 people. Loved our cabin! Read Less

As for the cabins, we had a balcony cabin (9218), and the size was as expected, with a great view out of the balcony both in Bermuda and sailing back into New York City. However, on most nights, there was a heavy banging noise coming from the floor below our room – enough that we could feel and hear it repeatedly for hours, several times a day (6:30pm, 6:30am and at points throughout the night). It both made it hard to fall asleep and woke us up several times. It certainly was a topic of conversation for those on the same side of the ship in the mornings by the elevators, and those on the other side seemed unaffected. I eventually said something at customer service a few nights in, although it was not resolved for the duration of the cruise. Otherwise, the cabins were nice, and as expected – meaning, I would just book a cabin on the other side or different floor! Read Less

Cabin was midship and convenient stair distance to the restaurants/shops. Shower and tub were nice to have and the bathroom was among the roomiest we have experienced. The heating and cooling worked great. Beds were fine. Only minor complaint is that the cabin and balcony could have been cleaner. Bathroom smelled like old urine. Culprit was the underside of the toilet seat. Also, closet doors were all smudged and there was tons of hair on the balcony furniture and floor. Steward was friendly, but on some nights our room still had not been made up by 8:30, and that is after leaving the room by four. This all adds up to the steward likely having more rooms than he could efficiently handle. While we did enjoy the towel animals he made every night, perhaps this was at the expense of cleaning?
