I wanted to write this review as its scared me to death reading all the bad reviews about this boat before, but looking deeper i realised that most bad reviews are made from Americans, and probably an older cliental. We are an english family with kids of 6 and 15, we loved this ship, we didnt want the holiday to end, my kids had the holiday of a lifetime, which is the reason i wanted to go, mostly for them. Ok it can get a bit noisy around the pool, but this boat is geared up for families, the kids were entertained so much, and my and my wife found time to relax, food fantastic, everywhere, we never went to specialty restaurants, just couldnt see the point, Manhattan and taste were superb, rooms brilliant, i thought all the shows were good, little tip, don’t bother with the magic show, it was really bad. Gym, awesome, we did a lot of the classes too Staff, all really good I would say 40% of us were brits, 40% Americans and the rest a mix of Europe and middle east So for anyone thats been reading the bad reviews, relax, my 3rd cruise all with different ships and i felt this one was great, i would go back Read Less

I chose this cruise because it offers solo cabins that are very comfortable, beautiful and affordable. The Embarkation and and disembarkation was outstanding. The individuals at each port and shore excursions go above and beyond to leave on time. The buses are coach motor buses, air conditioned, with tour guides that are super friendly and full of knowledge. My favorite tour was from Florence and Pisa. This ship is full of entertainment, activities, music and simply fun. The decor of this ship is amazing. The main dinning experience I loved, because there is no "set time" to eat. I felt very relax when it comes to dinning. The only negative thing I would add is that there is a need for more VEGAN or Vegetarian options...But I manage to go around the limitations. My cabin was outstanding and my room service lady (Jiotti) was amazing. She made sure my cabin was cleaned at all times (fresh towels, bed made, everything fresh). The solo VIP area was kept full of goodies, tea, ice, coffee, fruits, etc. I will book another trip with Norwegian. I want to note, that I will NOT book AIR with them. It was very complicated to arrange seats and to find my reservation. I had to do a lot of research. The flight back from Barcelona to JFK was a nightmare due to gate distances and I had to take a shuttle. Then the flight from JFK to FLL was another nightmare. Delays and gate changes. I will book my cruise with Norwegian, BUT NOT AIR... The trip was amazing and It was outstanding. I made TONS OF FRIENDS that our friendship will last forever. Read Less

Food- great even for vegetarians No sea sickness- smooth sea Entertainment - more than plenty Staff - awesome and entertaining Warm welcome after return from port excursions Kids taken care of in Splash academy Glow party was the best. The balcony allowed us to keep our suitcases else with kids space can be challenging Drinks can be better. Found the cocktails sweeter than usual Swimming pools were more of water tanks. Can be larger and shaded as it was super hot in July The kids entertainment in Splash academy after 8pm can be better else a single child can be easily bored Overall, the trip was truly worth every penny Read Less

Just got back from a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Epic out of Port Canaveral, Florida. Here are my thoughts on the vacation. -UBP. Got the Ultimate Beverage Package for the week. Was totally worth it. Great selection of spirits, beer, and wine. The standard wine was excellent and was my drink of choice during the day. Totally saved us money. It was also nice not worrying about a tab at the end. Plenty of bartenders and really didnt have to wait in line for a drink. Best perk is that drinks are included on the private island. Very nice touch and adds the feeling that you are at an all inclusive resort for the day. Bartenders even remembered my drinks. -Food. Excellent food. My favorite was the steak house, French restaurant, and the Chinese. Chinese is included and not a specialty restaurant, bonus. Buffet has everything and very tasteful. Also, did room service which was great and offered pizza. Yum. Staff was very attentive and kept the food always stocked and very happy to help in anyway. -Entertainment: Broadway quality on the shows, make sure you take advantage and attend. You wont be disappointed. Nightclub Bliss was great for dancing. Also, during the cruise we watched the Super Bowl at H20 on the massive screen. Very cool experience. Plus they had a tailgating buffet of all the football food that you expected. Really a great way to watch the big game. Spa is massive and totally worth the pass price. Great place to relax after a long day on shore. Staff: Best part of the boat. Great staff that are always in a good mode and friendly. The hotel director, Nelson is great guy and very approachable. You see him everywhere around the ship. Our room attendant did a great job and kept our cabin cleaned and stocked all the time. Bottom line, this is one of the best cruises I've been on and I have tried them all. Great cruise of just about anyone. Singles, Couples, Families, etc. Will be back for sure. Read Less

Hi I just got off the Beautiful Norwegian Epic Cruise. I travel all the time and highly recommend this 7 day trip to the Western Caribbean. The staff is amazing and they work so hard to make sure each passenger enjoys their vacation. There are so many things to do on this ship. The rooms are spotless and I loved having a bathroom separated from the shower area because we had two in our room so it made it easy to get ready for dinners and shows. The Food is great with such a big variety of selections. I recommend the specialty restaurants if you want fine dining I was very impressed! The best part of the trip was watching everyone from the staff to each and ever passenger smiling and feeling like a magical vacation! Pj was was favorite bartender he explained PJ stands for Pineapple Juice enough said! I had the pleasure of meeting Nelson the hotel director and his staff the hardest working team with a permanent smile! I have been in the travel profession for 25 years and highly recommend the Epic it was truly one of my best vacation experiences. Read Less

NCL always treat us well and are so nice. On this cruise, for us, it was all about the best band on this ship...4-Blue!! We never missed a night listening to them!! We watch them on YouTube at home since we miss them!! One downfall was when they got to play on deck one night but they only played for 1 hour! We, the great crowd of an audience wanted MORE of them, but they weren’t given permission to play longer.....the biggest mistake of the night! THE ONLY other thing we are not fond of are the design of the rooms. But we both agree this was one of our BEST trips ever! Big ship with lots to do! Stage shows were great also!! We are not a fan of having to make a reservation for some of them, but that’s how it is on this ship! The water slides are AWESOME....especially the toilet bowl one!!! Highly recommend Teppanyaki for dinner... it’s a WOW!!!!!! It’s a must!!! Bliss the nightclub was unpleasant the night we went....6 of us. We didn’t stay long. I pray they aren’t all like that on other ships. We enjoyed the pool areas a lot, and we enjoyed the couple, man and woman who sang onboard deck, but the raggae band wasn’t that great. In fact, I wanted to go elsewhere when they played. All other bands were really good!!!! We relaxed at the Martini bar at times....and the Beatles Band was VERY GOOD also!!! We’d take this same cruise on this same ship again anytime!!! Loved it!!! Read Less

The Epic is a large ship, so there is always a lot to do. We sailed Jan 23 for 10 days so some of the concerns we had heard with not being able to get chairs to sun ourselves were not a problem at all. I think this may have been because it was an older demographic due to a 10 day cruise. We had a balcony room 9087 and it was fabulous. It had more storage space than I could have ever imagined. We over pack and we still didn't use several areas of storage. Be sure to really look everywhere because there are places you wouldn't even guess that open to put things. It was wonderful. The bathrooms are unique and not my favorite but they were not as bad as I had anticipated after reading other reviews. If you make reservations for dining it is best but even if you don't the lines seem to go quickly. People started lining up early so it seemed like the line was awful but as soon as they opened the doors it was fine. The few specialty restaurants we went to were good but if you didn't do any I think you would be fine. Some people did specialty dining almost every evening and were very happy. We didn't go to the buffet until towards the end but I was pleasantly surprised. The shows were so-so, I would say that I have seen better productions on Carnival but they were still fine. I was not a fan of the Pricilla show but the acting was good. The main desk was fantastic and extremely helpful with anything you needed. I was very impressed with all of them and especially Angelica. I was leased impressed with the line (almost hour long) to stand in for the internet manager that was not very helpful nor very friendly. There needed to be two people in this area at peak times, it was ridiculous. Someone should have seen there was a problem and gotten some help. Overall I loved my cruise but if I have this issue on my next NCL cruise I seriously have to consider not cruising NCL again. The ports of call were wonderful and the way NCL makes sure that you are taken care to get to your excursions is very impressive. Almost funny, but very impressive. Read Less

This was our first Transatlantic and did not disappoint. We found the crew to be excellent throughout the Ship. Everyone appeared to want to make sure you were having a good time. Our room steward made sure our cabin was perfect at all times. The Cruise Director Andre was great fun! The specialty restaurants were very good. The service in Cagney's was slow both nights we were there but the food was excellent. We always found deck chairs by the pool or on the quiet deck 18. Danced the night away to different theme parties every night. Caught all the shows, Priscilla, excellent, Howl at the Moon, so much fun, as were the Cavern Club Epic Beatles! Queens of Rhythm were wonderful! Embarkation in Barcelona smooth and fast. Disembarked self assist, off in 20 minutes. Took an NCL transfer to Orlando, easy peasy! A wonderful cruise. 4th Cruise all NCL, Epic, Spirit Escape and now back on Epic. We had four fantastic days in Italy beforehand two in Rome then two in Florence then returned to Rome for sail, took early train from Florence then connected to Civitavecchia to get the ship. We couldn't see transfer shuttle and ended up walking to port about 35 minutes and as we were excited to get on board it wasn't a problem. We only waited about 30 minutes in the terminal before we boarded about 12.15 Luggage was in the corridor with in 90 minutes and room was ready for about 3.30pm. Smooth as could be hoped for, the benefit of boarding in Rome is that only about 700 people board, after a ship tour and lunch it was muster time in the Epic Theatre for the Rome guests, muster takes about 5 minutes then they spend half an hour telling you what the ship has to offer, we had some beef with this, it was basically a sales pitch and we just wanted to enjoy our cruise many guests thought the same. (cabin review separate) Steward was excellent and always had our room made up and turned down in good time and perfect every time. We had premium all inclusive which gave us 14 bottles of water in our room an excellent addition to our cruise Shows, Priscilla was excellent, the costumes, numbers, acting all brilliant, a must see, some people say reserve but there was a few spare seats. The Epic Beatles, we seen them twice in the cavern club, it was not too difficult to get seats if you get in early but i'm told this is not always the case, we found all the shows, dinning, bars on this cruise were never at bursting point, busy, but not to the ridiculous scale we found on the Escape, especially the Atrium shows everything was very accessible but still a great atmosphere. This point alone made our cruise. The Escape was just tooo much people, even though this is still a "Big Ship" it seemed much less hectic although there was not a great deal of kids on board!! Bliss nightclub has had a great makeover since our last trip but we didn't spend much time here but it looks absolutely stunning , Howl at the moon, one of our favourite shows we got to see three times as there was always seating even mid show, always great! We like shakers but the singer was not our favourite each to their own I guess, also seen Jenifer Fair the operatic singer twice, fantastic!! Ports:- Florence we had already done pre-cruise so opted for a ship day, weather was not the best unfortunately but we were ready to chill and have a book day. Cannes we have done previous cruise so we decided to do Nice and Monaco but decided last minute to do Nice only we did not regret this as time may have been too tight to do both via train and we had a great day in Nice lovely walk along Promenade Anglais then we took the €10 petite train winch let us see more with stunning views. Palma took the NCL $10 bus to the old town and had a great day perhaps our favourite. Drops you off at the cathedral. Barcelona We have visited this beautiful city often so we just intended to walk around the city and reminisce but the previous day we befriended a Canadian couple and ended up giving them the $5 tour which we thoroughly enjoyed, the company made the differance. we spent a few nights in their company nearer the end of the cruise, we love meeting people on the cruises, and we met plenty this time around! Sea day weather sucked, so we renamed it bar day!! Naples We got our only proper excursion here, we used Italytours.EU to do Pompeii Sorrento and the Amalfi coast at only €69 per person we can not recommend them enough. Only 15 people on the modern minibus, so no waiting around on others between stops, we noticed a NCL sanctioned tour in Sorrento and as they walked passed us I noticed there was 50 people + all following each other and they probably paid double what we paid. small groups for the win!! All in all our day was perfect 2 guided hours (€15 entry) in Pompeii, 2 hours in Sorrento alone and great views of the Amalfi coast. Dinning Twice in taste 4 and 3.5 out of 5, Service was slow second night. Twice in Le Bistro 5 out of 5 both times and Cagneys once 4.5 out of 5 Manhattan once 4 out of 5 Garden cafe was so so, bit cold as buffets can be too often!! O'sheenans was always great for some wings and a beer!! Always a great atmosphere on this part of the ship the entire cruise. We even had breakfast there a few times. We love the Epic its a great ship and will most likely sail on her again! Read Less

From the beginning - Embarkation, the staff were friendly, efficient and it went smoothly. The ship itself was a really good size and looked well looked after outside and inside, always very clean! The cabin was a fair size for myself and my 2 children, our room steward was excellent, room always cleaned and beds made up to a high standard every morning and evening, he was also extremely friendly, helpful and lovely to all of us throughout. The dining options were also excellent, lots of choices of different restaurants and menus, the buffet restaurant had a great selection of foods and everything we ate was perfect. The food was actually some of the best food I have eaten in the restaurants on board and the restaurant staff were also exceptionally helpful and friendly. There was a good amount and variety of entertainment during the day and evening, 'Burn the Floor' (dancing) was spectacular! Good music around the pool area during the day time. On board bookings for shore excursions were a bit pricey but I think that applies on all cruise lines. Would recommend booking excursions separately as we did as the prices were very high for myself with 2 children. My children attended kids clubs, there are separate clubs split into different age groups and both were very good, my children loved attending and the staff too, very well organised and lots of activities all week. Overall experience was 5 star! Would definitely book with Norwegian again. Read Less

First time cruisers on recommendation from friends. Airport to embarkation port was easy and welcome on board was friendly. Luggage taken off our hands and delivered to cabin. Time to discover ship and eat before settling into life at sea. Cabin was spotless and well put together with sea balcony. Toilet and shower with opaque doors and privacy curtain, huge bed, sofa, vanity unit and plenty of storage space. During the week,we made full use of dining, drinking and entertainment facilities. Some at extra cost for big show or special meal but everything was quality. We were on an all inclusive package which included drinks and gratuities(if not on this type of package drinks are very expensive and gratuities can be booked separately ay about $15 per person/day) Only downside was that shore excursions were very expensive. If we had taken a trip at each port it could have cost around another $1500 in total !!! Ideally some form of cheaper shuttle type transport to the major excursion sites would benefit a lot of people. We were however happy to relax on board and use the superb facilities. As a tester cruise this was a fantastic experience. Still haven't got over the size of the vessel and the comfort of the sailing, even when the wind got up.I suppose it is quite difficult to shift 160,000 tonnes of tour liner !!!! Read Less

Ports of call were totally amazing with the only drawback being that the ports was a little far away in two places. If you are interested in history then this cruise can satisfy all of your wondering about such places as Pompeii, Rome and Pisa. These were bucket list places for us and we are so glad that this cruise could reach so many in one week. All this not to mention the resort areas of Cannes and Palma De Mallorca! We are a big family with 4 kids ( 13 to 19) we love this ship. Stateroom are very well organise, lots of storage it’s impressive. The variety and quality of food is remarkable at the buffet best we had. In the main dining room we had great and fast services but we usually arrive around 6:45 pm if you plan to eat after 19:00 it get more busy and services take more time. We love the shows very good and divertising, the magician is so good, we saw free shows every night and enjoy ourself. My 17 years old son loved the teenclub we did not see him the hole week. We try every activities on the ship. We can not say a bad thing if you planned in advance what you want to do and arrive when it begins you never have to wait long line except for the waterslide with tube because the have to size of tube and not much of them but this is very fun. This ship made a priority on clean hand to avoid getting sick and we appreciate that no need to bring extra Purel at the table because the have extra disinfectant in the buffet. Any time you reenter the ship “washy washy lady are there”. Every people working on this ship is very nice, helping and smily. There is a very good “vibe” on this ship good music all time on the pool deck not to loud and we never feel it was crowded on this ship. Lots of chairs on the decks. You can always find a place to sit compare to Getaway. Best gym ever, good machine weighs ...it get busy cause it so good. Everything seem to be planed to facilitate our live there. Easiest way to get a tender is to go at the guest services not on the TV or cruise app. No confu sion or long wait in line to get off of the boat . It was a breeze each time no stress compare to all our other cruises. We did all port of cruise on our own. We walked to Palma (45 minutes) but saw nice bikes to rent just out of the ship that could have been a good idea because there a bicycle path next to the sidewalk from the boat to the city or you have the bus just there also, in Canne we went to the public beach ( 30 minutes walk 16 euro for two chairs and umbrella) Rome, Sorrento and Naples we hired driver from Private tour in Italy with Domenicco very good company. In conclusion we love, love , love this ship. Don’t hesitate. Read Less

Please don’t listen to the bad reviews and go find out for yourself how amazing the ship and the staff are. Embarking and disembarking g the ship was very well organised and relatively quick. The ship is beautiful I don’t think we got to see it all in one week to be honest. The food is tasty and the steaks are amazing. Definitely take the drinks package if you take a drink or you could run up a hefty bill. There is definitely no skimping on the alcohol and the variations of cocktails, spirits and beer are exceptional. There is entertainment morning until night, but the professional shows are amazing and need to be seen. There’s not one show you won’t enjoy! We had an inside cabin which was spacious compared to some I have been in, however looking back I would prefer outside or a balcony as inside can be very dark. Our room was spotless thanks to Michael looking after us in room 9019, such a friendly member of staff and always there. The staff are all excellent and always had a smile or conversation for guests. I chose this cruise because of the ports. I've always wanted to visit Rome and this provided the opportunity, and then some. My only disappointment was that Greece was not one of the ports of call. We were told that we could check in as early as noon, so we left our hotel at check-out time and took a taxi to the port. We arrived around 1 and were in our room about an hour later. This gave us a chance to check out the buffet and ship while waiting for our luggage to be delivered to the room. Our room was nice. It was small, but my husband and I did not find ourselves tripping over each other. I worried about our room being noisy because we were next to the steward's closet, but it was fine. We were out of the room most of the time and when we returned, we were too tired to notice anything. We took the time to book activities/shows for the week and found lots more activities than listed online. We booked the Beatles show for the first night and had a great time. Day 1- at sea Took the time to unpack, explore the ship and relax. Also reserved dinner at the Manhattan Room and a show for that night. The Manhattan Room was a nice experience. Food was good and arrived in decent time. Day 2 - Naples When we left the ship, there were lots of people offering taxi service and it was expensive. After walking a little further down the dock, we saw a bus tour company that took us to Pompeii for about 15 euros/each. The trip to Pompeii was relaxing. Views of farmlands and the ocean. Something I am not accustomed to seeing. We did not purchase tickets ahead of time to get into Pompeii to see the ruins, but the line was very short, so there was no problem. We also did not purchase a tour, but regretted that decision. We walked around the entire city, but had no clue about the historical sites aside from reading placards. I think we logged about 18,000 steps though. Upon returning to Naples, we walked around the city and had pizza in a small restaurant. Day 3 - Rome This is the day I looked most forward to. I planned to see the Colosseum, Vatican, Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain and anything else I could see. First of all, the tourism industry was on strike and our bus ride into Rome was canceled. We took the train into Rome and used Google map on our cellphone to find the Colosseum. I purchased tickets online prior to the trip, so getting inside was easy. I purchased a device that was sort of an electronic tour. The audio portion was helpful, but the video was a waste of time because it was too bright outside to see the screen. After enjoying splendor of the Colosseum, we left to find the other sites. I read reviews prior that said it was a waste of time to do the tours because the buses did not spend enough time at the sites, so we opted to find them ourselves. However, we found it difficult to do so, because we just weren't asking the right people. There was a scab-tour company doing bus tours, but they wouldn't give any information aside from the price of their tours. We ended going in the wrong direction and never made it to any of the other sites. We did stumble across a military museum, but that was NOT what I wanted to see. By the time we turned around, it was time to head back. We had to run to catch the train back to Civitavecchia. We caught the train but it had about five delays. We had to run to get the shuttle back to the ship and made it with maybe five minutes to spare. The shuttle driver did not move and were were in full panic until we saw several groups of people running toward the bus. It turned out that many other cruise mates were on that train and were also late. It was a stressful, tiring and disappointing day. After talking to a cruise mate, I discovered that we needed to get off the train earlier for Vatican City. After leaving the Colosseum, we needed to walk in the opposite direction to see the other sites. Sigh ... Day 4 - Livorno Took a train to Pisa with a shipmate who knew how to get around. It was a long walk from the train station, but pretty straight forward. We made it there and walked around for a few hours. We were going to go to Florence, but decided to just hang around Livorno for the last couple of hours and do some shopping. It was a fun day. Day 5- Cannes Cannes was beautiful. We took a ferry from the boat and just walked around sight seeing. We did not stray very far from the waterfront where the ferries were located. Walking around, we saw a beautiful cathedral, the location of the Cannes Film Festival and some great sites. The area has shopping for the ultra rich and for everyone else. We found nice shops that had great prices. It was a great experience and an overall great day. There were some ship mates who took taxis to drive along the coast and almost did not make it back in time. Day 6 - Palma de Majorca I didn't know what to expect from this stop, but it was a wonderful city. The first thing you when you go ashore is a castle. It was stunning. There was a flea market of sorts set up in the area. I'm not sure if it was for locals or because of the cruise ship. We spent hours walking around the city and saw lots of cool museums, cathedrals and other interesting sites. It was another great day. We got back to the ship early enough to participate in some activities, pack and have dinner. Day 7- Barcelona We arrived in Barcelona around 7 am and had to leave the ship by 9. It was bittersweet because we missed the ship, but looked forward to staying overnight in Barcelona. Because we had to leave the ship by 9, we got to spend more time in Barcelona. Our hotel was located right on La Rambla and we got to see lots of the city. Our flight did not leave until about 10:45 PM, the following day, so we got about 2 days of sightseeing. All passengers were to report to the ship between 6-6:30. This gave plenty of time to explore the ports of call and enjoy the activities on the ship before retiring for the night. The ship was quite full, but we were able to get through buffet lines very quickly. There were children on the ship, but they were busy with their own activities. I would definitely go on this particular cruise again. Read Less

I chose this cruise because my friends had never been to Europe and this offered a great itinerary which includes highlights of Italy, Spain and a little bit of France. Since this is their first Meditterean cruise the 7 day trip is just right. In addition, The Epic cruise ship is one of the better ships of Norwegian because I ve been cruising with Norwegian since 2000. The staff at Norwegian is wonderful. They are friendly, and very professional. We also booked a Mini Suite and very happy with our accommodations. Our room is always clean and tidy. They offered great variety of food at the buffet and enjoyed the fine dining at their restaurants. The food is excellent and everyday it offered different choices. I was really surprised with the entertainment. (Priscilla and Burn the Floor). They had shows that are well done and well prepared. Almost like a Vegas show. There's so much to do on the ship. The excursions were great as well ! Read Less

My friend and I have always talked about going on a cruise together. She couldn’t have picked the most perfect cruise ship, Epic. I truly can’t express my utter gratitude to the crew of the Epic, I felt like family and was treated as such. Everyone was so heart warming, kind, helpful and everything else in between. I loved seeing their smiles, and being greeted throughout the ship. Dominic, who cleaned up our cabins, always greeted me with a smile in the morning, And for me a smile brightens my day, I truly appreciated everything he had done for me. The entertainment crew on the ship was top notch!!!! I have never had so much fun!!! Personally. I am not a very outgoing person, but this trip, I had a complete blast. Between the game shows, bingo, karaoke, and the themed dance parties, I have never felt so alive. lol I truly appreciate Andres and his entire team for making this trip unbelievable. I can’t remember everyone’s name, but Lester, Ruby, Manay( spelt that wrong) and everyone else hold a special piece in my heart. I will always remember their enthusiasm and warmth. And even walking around the ship and them to remember me made my day. Honestly, they made a wonderful impact on my me. I decided to to go the spa. The best decision ever!!! Everyone was fantastic!! I felt relaxed, pampered, and completely refreshed. They are amazing people!!! I want to thank everyone for making this the most amazing experience ever!!, I am planning my next cruise for 2019 on the Epic!!! Read Less

This was my 10th cruise, first on Norwegian. I have to say after reading some of the reviews I was not very happy with my choice. But I had a completely different experience then most. I really enjoyed the Epic. I did not find any of the staff to be rude, most had a smile on their faces. We never had any problems getting drinks from the bar either. We enjoyed the shows, you just have to remember to make reservations. We made ours 30 days before sailing. I can't speak of the specialty restaurants as we did not eat at any of the paid one's. But I found the Manhattan restaurant to be very nice and the most we waited for a table was 35 minutes. We enjoyed the club Bliss, it always had a nice crowd and even in the club we had not one problem getting drinks. Embarkment was a breeze we got to the ship around 11am. Not much of a crowd. Was first on the ship. Disbarkment was a breeze as well. We purchased the Norwegian transfer to the airport so we got off the ship around 7am for a 2pm flight. Too early had to wait at airport till 1130 am to go through security. Read Less

The day trips were amazing (although I only went on one of the shore excursions specifically set up by the cruise ship). The dining and entertainment on the Epic was just that...Epic! We were blown away every night by the caliber of the shows and friendliness of the staff! Pricilla, Cirque, Howl at the Moon, the Tre Amichi, Miro the Magician...all amazing! And the staff were absolutely wonderful. Getting on and off the ship was usually fairly easy, the biggest jam up was the elevators getting up to your room. Not an issue if you are willing to take the stairs or sit and have a drink before heading to your stateroom at the end of your day. Our cabin was comfortable and quiet, and our housekeeper Zanial took care of anything we needed. This was my first cruise and I hope will not be my last. I couldn't imagine it being any better than the Norweigan Epic. Read Less

This was a great cruise with plenty of activities for the days at sea or if you do not go ashore. The cruise director and his staff always have thing to do. The rooms are clean and well maintained if average in size. It is big enough to offer numerous activities but small enough to feel like full service. We went over the spring break period and were not overwhelmed by children. The embarkation and disembarkation does not make you wait forever like some of the cruise lines if you are not platinum level or above. The fitness area has plenty of newer equipment. The bar staff makes every effort to remember your name and what you are drinking. For the best Bloody Mary on the high seas see Javier in the Atrium Bar. Cagneys Steak House was an excellent dining experience. Don miss it. The entertainment was very good. The cruise entertainment director personally made appearance at most activities. Read Less
