A Great Epic Cruise : Cabin 8172
Avoid 8172 if you need to sleep between 9pm and 1am. The sound from Fat Cats/Slam allen band just thuds into this room

If you have a chance; book a mini suite with a balcony! We were in room 10081. It is located not far from the elevators and very easy to get to. It was a nice quite room too. The storage is amazing. The bed is really comfortable. They have thought of every light you might wish for. The sofa is comfortable too. Now the shower! It is so large and the water pressure is amazing. I never ran out of hot water. The balcony for room 10081 is nice and large. Two people can sit outside and enjoy the sea air. This was the best stateroom we have ever had on any ship so far. Cabin 8176 We had originally booked a regular balcony room; however, we noticed the price dropped a bit before we left so we called to try and get an on board credit for the difference. They wouldn't do that, but they did upgrade our room to a mini-suite balcony. Calling it a suite is a stretch but it did add about 40 square feet to the size of the room. The room was ready about 1:30. For all the complaining you hear about the new style rooms on Epic, we were pleasantly surprised. The room had a lot of storage space compared to other ships we have been on. We thought the bathroom set up was great. Having the separate area for the shower, toilet and sink was great. There was enough room in the shower to actually take a shower and overall there was much more space in the bathroom area. Bed was very comfortable. I actually preferred the cabin on Epic just a little over RC. The bathroom space made all the difference in the world. Read Less

We had a larger balcony room on the 9th floor near the elevators. Great location, easy to walk either upstairs or down without having to wait for elevators. The rooms were very tight with a poor layout. I had read about the toilets and sinks in advance but they are worse than we expected. Toilet is in glassed in enclosure by entry to cabin (not for the shy)and sinks really are teeny getting everything wet. There are no hand towel bars or place to hang wet face cloths. Nothing is convenient in the room. Beds are comfy though. Don't forget that the lights are controlled by your key card. We didn't know that and sat in the dark for way too long! There are separate closets but only one has hangers. I luckily packed on hangers. Bring your own shampoo and soap etc. They have a dispenser but the product isn't good. Rooms are quiet and only noise is flushing of toilets. Read Less
