The mini-suite on the Epic seems to have the same amount of room as a regular balcony cabin on Celebrity Solstice Class ships. So, the size is fine. However, the layout is strange. Even though there are plenty of storage cabinets, the cabin lacks any drawer storage. Most cabinets are also not very deep, so you can't stack more than a few clothing items on top of each other. We were surprised with a bathtub instead of a standard shower stall. It would not be ideal for anyone having to get over a two-foot high side to get into the tub. I found the mattress a little too firm to my liking. Overall, the room was okay. Read Less

Cabin layout was good. Beds & pillows were clean & comfortable. Room steward was attentive. We only saw him the 1st night and the last night. We left him notes if we needed anything. Mini bar w/ fridge and room safe in cabin. Electrical outlets available under the desk area with European and American outlets. The lighting in the room was too dim at night. There were 2 reading lamps at the bed headboard, but neither worked. The carpet was a little worn, but clean. Ample closet with hangers & drawer space. Vanity storage area above the sink area with razor power outlet. Read Less

We booked a mini-suite for 3. I found the room tight -- someone had to step out of the way if we needed to pass one another. We were in 8168 and it was very noisy at night. We think the noise was from the Cavern Club two floors below. The ship was full and moving our cabin was not possible. There was a sign at the service desk saying so. I used earplugs and slept with a pillow under one ear and another pillow over the other ear. I did not like the entry. On one side was the toilet and the other side was the shower -- as soon as you entered the room. Both were enclosed in a frosted glass (or plexiglass) booth and a curtain could be pulled so you could utilize the entry as a dressing room. We all spent time outside the room so everyone could have some privacy. This would have been fine for just my husband and me, but add an 18 year old to the mix and it's not comfortable. I like to have a bathroom with a sink and a toilet and a shower. It took us two days to find out how to turn off the light to the sink -- which was right next to my bed. It's under the medicine cabinet. It took twice that long to find the switch to the reading lights over the bed. The switch is at the top of the light. Read Less

My only wish would be brighter lighting over the vanity for make-up application. Otherwise I enjoyed everything. Thanks to our cabin steward Leo. Read Less

Epic Vacation : Cabin 8189
Great cabin. Very large. I had a scooter and a wheelchair. I could completely turn the scooter around in the cabin without backing up. The balcony was awesome; very large. I would want to get this cabin again if possible.

Had good storage for clothes. Interesting layout. Lighting was not the greatest. In fact, the best lighting was when the curtain to the balcony was open. Not sure what those on the inside experienced as there was not good lighting to be had to put on makeup and such. Good sized shower. For a tall person, your feet will dangle off the end of the bed.
