We actually liked the layout of the cabins on the Epic with the split bathroom. It made getting ready easier and if someone was showering the toilet was still available. The amount of storage in the room was incredible. We had a minor problem with our room but the staff went above and beyond to fix the problem and make it up to us. I have to say that on this cruise we hardly used the balcony. Except for when we we were pulling into port, there was nothing to look at - unlike our Alaskan cruise. That said for people who like sitting in the sun - this was a great room. It was relatively quiet considering this was a spring break cruise - except for the couple next door fighting.....remember that the walls are thin and if you go the balcony the whole ship can probably hear you! The location was conveniently near the elevators. Also on the plus side the cabin had a lot of storage some of which we only discovered after our travel mates mentioned them. There were lifeboats directly below the balcony so view down was not that great. With the balcony door open we had quite a bit of noise drifting down from people on the upper deck entertainment areas. The rooms have separate shower/sink/toilet areas whereas we prefer the privacy of a combined bathroom area. The limited counter and refrigerator space were inconveniently taken up by minibar items for sale & a coffee pot we didn't care to use. Read Less

Balcony was nice - nice to be able to sit out on it on sea days and relax and unwind. As mentioned above in the main review - bed and bathroom not good for bigger people. Frosted glass not walls on bathroom and shower (separate). Decent amount of storage. We had two rooms for our party (non-adjoining), same category, and we each had room problems. They had a light that wouldn't turn off despite no key card in/switches off, and we had one that didn't turn on by the mirror of the sink. Read Less

Totally terrible. Cramped, poor layout. Sofa uncomfortable and totally useless because of placement in cabin. Bed too small. Feet hung off end.

Nice cabin. A little cramped for a balcony room but no big deal since we didn't plan to stay in the cabin all day. Housekeeping was always on time with clean up and making beds. Staff very friendly!
