1-10 of 264 Norwegian Epic Cruise Reviews for for the Disabled to the Western Caribbean
I've found you either love cruising, or try it and find that cruising is not for you. We fall into the former bucket and have been on 20 odd cruises over the years. We've sailed with NCL, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Princess, and generally find more similarities than differences across lines. That said, we tend to prefer NCL.
My wife and I sailed on the Epic not long after it was first ...
After reading so many negative reviews, I wasn't even looking forward to our cruise. However, we couldn't cancel it, so I decided to prepare as much as possible and follow tips from previous passengers. We had never cruised on a ship this size before, and found that it was like visiting a big city versus a small town. We enjoyed the perks of a big city, such as entertainment, activities and good ...
The variety of ports of call were the mail reason we selected this cruise. I feel that most of the entertainment was geared to adults, so there was not much evening entertainment that I felt comfortable taking my 12 year old to. We were pleased with the staff and the crew. The cabin was comfortable and we were not put-off with the layout, as several other guests commented about. The dining was ...
Make sure to have walking shoes on at all times and have tip money in your pocket. From picking your luggage up at the airport to getting onto the ship, it is a lot of walking. If you get a porter at the airport, he will take you directly to the NCL area where you will sign in for your ship transfer, and use a Porter on disembarkation day. Porters know how to move you around very, very, quickly, ...
After reading all the bad reviews of the Epic's February and March cruises, I was very apprehensive about my upcoming April 6 cruise. My worries were for naught. The cruise from Embarkation to Debarkation was very satisfying.
Although the ship is huge, it didn't feel any more crowded than the smaller boats I've been on.
Elevator wait times were not bad except when shows were ...
I was hesitant to book this cruise based on some bad reviews. I’m glad we did. I have cruised many times in the past mostly with Royal Caribbean so this was my first time with freestyle cruising. The cabins were standard balconies and exactly what we expected but our cabin steward, BJ was fabulous. Very friendly and accommodating. We had an aft facing balcony on deck 9. My husband thought it ...
We sailed on the Epic for Spring Break. This was our first NCL cruise. Have done RCCL, Disney and Carnival. I had read a lot on here about the ship before we cruised. We had a great week and enjoyed everything we did on the ship. Thought the food was good in all places and the service was good with the exception of crowds at pool bars. Kids had a great time and enjoyed the sports court and meeting ...
I have been on multiple NCL cruises. With this experience, I have my expectations set. The crew on this ship was on par with or better than other NCL cruises I have completed in the past. The ship staff was top notch. The dining was excellent. I dined in the complimentary dining venues exclusively and never once did I feel like I was getting a subpar experience.
Embarkation was a ...
This was our second Norwegian cruise. First was on the Getaway (which I loved mainly for the additional outdoor space on the lower decks). I was a little worried leading up to this cruise because of all the negative reviews. My parents were on the Epic for 11 days in January and had no complaints, which made me feel a lot better. There main suggestion was if there was a show you really wanted to ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary, we have been to Great Stirrup Cay and Cozumel before and wanted to go back. We had never been to Ocho Rios Jamaica and Georgetown Grand Cayman and were looking forward to seeing both ports. Below are the comments I made at the end on our post cruise survey.
I came home feeling relaxed and refreshed, however I didn’t rate as excellent because of a few ...
