"Norwegian only made a slight gesture at compensation for these itinerary changes (yes, we all know that they are legally permitted to do this under the cruise contract).I can't assess that adequately, but I will say that a number of very long-time Norwegian guests took this cruise as a sign that things were going downhill at Norwegian, and vowed never to sail with them again...."Read More

1-10 of 10 Europe - Western Mediterranean Norwegian Dawn Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise Reviews
I was disappointed with this cruise. I think NCL had a chance to make it something special but chose not to. We had only sailed on Norwegian once before and had not particularly enjoyed it but the itinerary that NCL originally offered with stops in West Africa, Cape Verde and Morocco was so unusual and interesting that we decided to give Norwegian another go. The first disappointment was that ...
There is something definitely wrong on this ship. I got a stomach virus after 3 days of sailing and was put in isolation. After taking my medicine, I barely are for the subsequent 3 days. And, I got the bug, again. I traced my problem to a common denominator: Caesar Salad. The Captain ordered that crews must serve passengers in the buffet area. We aren't even allowed to get water by ourselves. ...
There are going to be a lot of very negative reviews for this cruise, and there were many problems with it. There were four missed ports, an itinerary change after final deposits were made, and a lot of difficulties with ports that were visited.
Additionally, the passengers on this cruise were exceptionally savvy travelers, and exceptionally sophisticated and experienced frequent cruisers with ...
Horror Cruise! Norwengian is no longer Norwengian! Since COVID, NCL cruises have deteriorated in an inexplicable way. We are on board the Dawn crossing from Africa to Europe. An outbreak of gastroenteritis on board. Hundreds with diarrhea, including crew. The same ship, on the last cruise before this one, had already been quarantined on the Mauritius Coast with cholera suspected. It seems they ...
After a horrendous pre cruise experience due to their inept flight department we were pleasantly surprised with our cruise. The flight department arranged our post cruise extension as pre cruise in error. When they were advised of their mistake they went back and verified the phone conversation and then wanted to offer onboard credit rather than fix the the problem which they did 30 days later ...
Just returned from a good to great week on the Dawn. We were a little apprehensive as we previously sailed on the much-newer Epic but the Dawn has a lot to offer.
Getting on was a breeze, getting off was delayed for some unknown reason. We carried off our bags and headed out to line up at 7:30am. Go figure, a long line had already formed and we all stood around grumbling about the delay - by ...
My teenage daughter and I (Mom), took this cruise in February 2011. Our third cruise with NCL, but first without the guys in our lives!
The Dawn isn't as run down as many on this forum have said. We found it to be clean and comfortable. Our oceanview stateroom was a decent size. The TV in it was old, but who goes on a cruise to watch TV? The most worn out areas I found were the public ...
First of all let me say that I love the "freestyle" on NCL. I can go eat when I want and not have to dress up to do it. For families with small children they have a special section for the kids with kid size chairs and furniture. Hot dogs, Hamburgers and french fries are an everyday item. For the grown ups there is more formal dining if you want.
The 7 day cruise out of Barcelona is fast paced ...
i went on this cruise with my sister, I was 21 and she was 19, and we had the most incredible time. This was my 3rd cruise and my sister's 4th. We loved the atmosphere of the ship, along with the food and public areas. We had a beautiful balcony room and were so comfortable in those beds after our strenuous days walking for hours through the destinations. I thought it would be helpful for future ...
What a wonderful way to europe and the ship was fantastic. My wife and I are cruise veterans.....My dad once told me I should have joined the Navy. Sailing on the new Gem through the around the inside of the Italian Boot was our best cruise ever.
Barcelona is a wonderful city from which to start and end your cruise. The city has lots to see and do..Try to come in or stay a least a couple of ...
