Great cruise on Norwegian

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We picked a cruise from Puerto Rico so we could spend a couple of days there beforehand and to minimize at-sea days. We've sailed on Norwegian once before and liked it. This was a really good cruise, the staff were great, the food was delicious, and the shore excursions were mostly excellent. We had an obstructed oceanview room -- the view was actually pretty good, we could see the ocean over ...

In full disclosure I have only traveled on NCL so my review is based on comparison of NCL ships. My husband & I prefer the mid sized ships. We've been on the Pearl several times, the Jade, the Breakaway and now the Dawn. We were initially choosing ships based on ports of call. That is still a high priority for us but everything & everyone on the ship can make or break your cruise. That being said, ...

We have cruised with Carnival for many years and they don't have many perks for long time cruisers so we decided to try NCL. So glad we did. The trip was awesome. We had a mini suite with balcony which was pretty spacious for 2 people. The bathroom was a little small with counter space but the tub/shower was great . No water on the floor. We left out of San Juan to Barbados, Antigua, st. ...

Planned this cruise about a year out based on some friends that were going to be onboard with us. They didn't end up making it but we still decided to go based on the itinerary. We flew into San Juan 3 days before the cruise and we were able to enjoy the island before getting to the ship. Glad we did, because this time of year is known for bad weather. We were also informed on the first and ...

Our cruise departed from San Juan and cruised to Barbados, Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Marteen, and St. Thomas. We flew to San Juan the day prior to sailing which allowed us time to relax and get to the pier at our leisure. My husband and I stayed in the Aft-Facing Penthouse with Large Balcony - Room 8170. It was a very spacious room, with a large closet that opened on two sides. The bathroom was ...

We've been fortunate to have sailed on Royal Caribbean (Freedom and Oasis) in the past but once we saw the deal Norwegian had (free air fare for me and my husband and $99 for our daughters, drinks, shore excursion credit and free wifi), we decided to take a chance on this cruise line. We're happy we did. ABOUT THE BOAT: This is a smaller boat so be prepared, especially at night, to feel the ...

Cruise of a Lifetime

I did the cruise end of January 2019, 11 day Caribbean cruise. This was my first cruise and I had no expectations. I had always been somewhat close minded about cruises thinking they were for people 55+ but, the itinerary was out of Puerto Rico, somewhere I always wanted to visit and have the opportunity to visit 10 Caribbean countries in 11 days was amazing! Embarkation and disembarkation ...

Summary of my recent Norwegian Dawn cruise 2/7-17/19

We chose this cruise because of its remarkable itinerary, as did eight of our friends- in a total of 5 cabins. Although not as relaxing as our previous amazing Epic transAtlantic cruise 11/4/18, it was a wonderful opportunity to stop and see islands I had not yet ever visited before to decide if I want to return to them again, despite being so busy almost daily. I had never previously been to ...

Very Impressed with Norwegian Dawn

We chose the Norwegian Dawn as our first cruise based on the destination and ship size. We had reservations after reading reviews but our worries were put to bed after we arrived for our trip. 1. Embarkation and check in were very quick as we weren't in the initial group boarding, it literally took a few minutes with no wait in line. 2. Disembarkation went equally fast with a very ...

This was my seventh Norweigan Cruise and they only get better. My group had the misfortune of one of our friends involvement in an accident on Bonaire. The Bonaire medical staff and Norweigan officials went above and beyond to make certain my friends recieved the upmost medical care, were transported back to the ship, and assisted in the arrangements for them to fly back to the US for medical ...
