Things got ugly during disembarkation. Listen up NCL this is important.

We were on the NCL Dawn for a 14 day Caribbean Cruise. There is lots to report regarding our disembarkation. It was the absolute worst ever. It seems there was a big problem getting the normal gangway in place when we arrived at the port of Tampa. The number of passengers who could get off was very limited as the Dawn crew resorted to using the level 4 very steep and narrow gang ways instead. ...

Cruise ship is very poorly maintained. Our cabin had numerous issues, none of which were fixed. Food was mediocre at most times. We had a few good meals in the MDR. We had cruised on the Dawn about 3 years prior, and this was our 10th+ cruise on NCL. The staff, for the most part, did not care. Very poor customer service. Entertainment was, surprisingly, pretty good, but it did not make up ...

Not up to Norwegian's level of service

I have never been on a cruise ship that ignored passengers more than this crew for the Norwegian Dawn. My husband and I do not drink alcohol, but in order to get any kind of service for poolside drinks, we had to rely on people who had beverage packages to order even a simple water for us. We were told that drinks like water or iced tea can be obtained from the Garden Cafe, a full deck below and ...

This cruise ship was not at all transparent in their changes they changed the whole itinerary. Did not tell us about this until the third day two days at sea then it was changed to completely different islands three instead of the seven. Then to come find out that if you did not have a excursion with Norwegian you could not get off the ship. The ship we were on had no Entertainment that you would ...

We have sailed multiple times on Norwegian and also on other cruise lines. Most of the usual items on this cruise were fine. Housekeeping and dining room staff were lovely, polite, accommodating and efficient. It was a good itinerary with a nice balance off sea days and ports. The Dawn, while in need of a refurbishment, was clean and had the right amenities. The entertainment, especially the ...

I have chosen this cruise due to having good experiences on most of NCL ships, and it left from NYC which was good for me. 2 days we both wanted to take a shower and no water for showering. The last morning very early only cold water for a shower. Note: in order to get warm water the left dial had to be on 50, yes 50. 30 something shows red for danger. At times while taking a shower the water got ...

Well, we chose this cruise for the itinerary and having sailed 3 other NCL ships we tried the Dawn, ship is old and showing age, you feel a lot of movement with this ship. We were in a mini-suite on deck 10. The rooms are tattered, our cabin steward was terrible, left trash, no tissues, no toilet paper, had to go to the hallway and get it myself off the cart, wanted ice and he told me it would ...

Stay Away From Norwegian Dawn

Our good friends picked the Norwegian Dawn for a Caribbean cruise leaving from San Juan. I thought Norwegian was a good name and all their boats would be up to snuff, but stay away from this one! We may try another Norwegian cruise, but I would recommend a newer boat and hopefully the shows, food, spa services, and boat condition will be much better. One of the biggest disappointments was the ...

The Honest Truth About Cruises By David Budnick Everything is a scam on this boat. We arrived to our room the first day to find it to be about the size of a coffin; for the $1800 price tag for only 6 nights, Iʼd say this is the price for suckers. We specifically booked an ocean view room to have fresh air through the window. Well, come to find out, the window does not open at all, and there ...

The best part of the cruise was getting off the ship.

I selected this sailing because of the ports. I booked within the last month because of an opening in my work schedule and I have a broken leg so options where I could relax and not do much were limited. I have been on 32 cruises on other cruise lines. I knew that the cruise would not be as nice as Princess or Disney, but it was a nightmare from start to finish. I would never sail Norwegian ...
