"The pool lounge chairs were taken up by 6:30 am even though no one was using them and no crew member intervened. So while it was nice to get an occasional sliver of wifi data, all other perks in the Free at Sea package were totally bogus...."Read More

1-10 of 1,699 Norwegian Dawn Cruise Reviews for Romantic to the Caribbean
We first sailed NCL Dawn May 2022 on a 10-day British Isles cruise, and liked the ship. So no hesitation to book it again for a Western Caribbean trip. Embarkation was a breeze and we were on the ship within a few minutes after check-in. NCL used facial recognition for embarkation/disembarkation, it is a little slower than tapping your key card, but there is a payoff! Enjoyed a quick lunch ...
we went on a norwegian cruise 10 years ago and had a very different experience. it was pretty awesome last time, this was extremely disappointing & not at all worth it
the food was not nearly as good this time
there's a hidden daily fee that now gets added every day you're at sea
the "free at sea" included:
- free drinks
- from bartenders that were resentful
- did not ...
This is our third cruise, and our first with Norwegian. We booked a Oceanview cabin for this 7 day cruise, our previous cruises were both 4 days long and we booked Inside cabins. The cabin looks great, with lots of drawers and closet space. There are 7 lights in the room, but only one electrical outlet. This posed a problem when attempting to charge 2 smartphones, a tablet and 2 sets of earbuds. ...
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which had pluses and minuses (discussed further below). This was our third trip on the Dawn, and we were disappointed by the appreciable decline in the quality of the service, food and entertainment since our last trip pre-COVID. Fewer things are included- 2 specialty dinners instead of 3 for a 7 day cruise, fewer drinks included in the drink package (especially ...
We have cruised with several lines before, and we typically take 2-3 cruises each year. This was our first time cruising with Norwegian Cruise Lines. Here are some thoughts from my first (and maybe last) experience with them:
PROS:
- Embarkation: I still cannot believe how fast this went! We have never gone on the ship so fast. It was our first time at the port of Tampa, and before we ...
We selected this cruise as it left from Tampa, Florida, near our home. We were traveling with four other Floridians.
None of us had experience with the Norwegian Cruiseline before this trip. We all had been on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess and Carnival. It appeared Norwegian gave a nice selection of specialty restaurants.
We selected the balcony cabin (used to be called ...
I wanted to go on a post-Covid cruise and Norwegian seemed to offer the most value for your money with their Free at Sea option. I went with 10 other people - family and friends. Five people in the group either smoked or vaped. We all had balcony staterooms. The drinks were plentiful but weak. During the day, any organized activities onboard cost money. I went to Bingo and spent $30 to play. ...
Despite a couple hiccups upon check in, we were very pleased with our overall experience. We specifically booked this cruise for our belated honeymoon/vow renewal as we had a “Covid” wedding in March of 2020. Norwegian did a beautiful job with our private ceremony renewing our vows, photos, cake and champagne, dinner arrangements.
We were also very impressed with how well organized ...
Have always wanted to go to Belize and this cruise included Belize. On board, the buffet left a bit to be desired and staff members could have been more helpful do to my handicap. Restaurant food was excellent and staff was very nice,, kind and friendly. Casino left a bit to be desired as far as being handicap friendly and staff left a lot to be desired especially in my opinion being a female ...
Very disappointed in the overall NCL experience. Our ship was older and small, but that was the least of its problems. Food was awful and service was sparse. Long lines for drinks and food at the specialty restaurants was substandard with the exception of Cagney’s steakhouse. I was disappointed in all of the extra hidden fees on the ship and the Wi-Fi service that we paid hundreds of dollars ...
