we were with 3 other couples all looking for laughter. three of us needed walkers or wheelchairs. embarkation was a disaster. no wheel chairs available. we were the last to get onto the boat. we were told we would have easy access. boat itself is no way handicapped friendly! going over seams at doorways were all but impossible. met a very young lady in elevator going to 12th or 13th deck ...
Been on 11 Norwegian cruise and this was good except for embarkation where passengers left the ship four hours late and the Norwegian check in computers were down for over two hours.
I arrived at the Cruise Terminal at 11:30 am and did not board the ship until 3 pm. I was supposed to be on the ship at 12 noon with priority embarkation. Those who did not have Latitudes ranking boarded ship after ...
We just arrived back from the 7 day cruise from NYC to Bermuda on the Norwegian Dawn. This was not our first trip on the Dawn, we had caught it out of Boston about five years ago, and the ship is sadly showing its age. Arriving at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal on Saturday November 2nd we were met with a slow and really disorderly boarding because the gangway had been damaged by high winds by ...
We have sailed on the NCL Dawn three times.Always have enjoyed. This time was no exception. The Dover Sole at Le Bistro was so delicious.Patti and Jose in the Atrium each evening performing was wonderful.
The only negative we found was the twenty year olds in the suite next to ours who got so drunk and had screaming girls at 3am pounding on their door.Who do you call on a ship in the middle of ...
Cabin was fine as noted below. However I did notice that the carpet could have been cleaner. Bathroom was tight but well laid out.
1). Fun party boat with mostly middle age and younger folks. (A waiter told us the average age on this 4 day Bermuda weekend cruise was 48 as compared to an 11 night Canada/New England just prior to our sailing where the average age was 68!)
2). Local folk ...
It was the closest cruise to our 50th anniversary date.
Friends had recommended Norwegian.
Long time waiting to get aboard, Much better getting off ourselves.
We were VERY disappointed in our "Ultimate dining package " We found out at the first restaurant, first night, that it was only good for ONE meal ! I had made reservations for each of the 4 nights, thinking I was getting 4 meals. ...
Involved no flights, was able to drive to Boston and the weather and pink sandy beaches in Bermuda! Received a text message while we were enroute to Boston that the itinerary had been changed to Canada and Maine due to weather. I live in NE and my corporate offices are in Halifax. I was packed for Bermuda. Food was nothing special. I got the drink package only to find out they were out of Michelob ...
We picked the Dawn because of the Garden Villa Suite. We had a total of 16 traveling with us and this ship provided the best living and deck space to get together each day. As with other reviews, the room was fabulous and the ship was good too.
Roal and Jairus, our concierge and steward, were the two that made the suite life sweet. There were no requests made that weren't met with "let me ...
Our cruise ship was suppose to go to Bermuda. Unfortunately, so was Hurricane Florence. Norwegian Cruise Line made the correct decision to divert our ship to New England and Canada. What a great cruise!! The weather was perfect in the upper 60’s and lower 70’s. The seas were calm and the excursions were plentiful to select from. Halifax, Nova Scotia was amazing. We visited the Fairview Cemetery ...
I have had great experiences with Norwegian. We found the night before we were leaving that due to the hurricane our itinerary was NOT going to be Bermuda. We were disappointed but we did not that ruin our cruise. Our trip was paid for and we made the best of it.It is in the contract that they can change the itinerary. The ports in Canada we really nice and staff on the ship was great. Especially ...
