These Mini-Suites sleep up to four guests, with two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed as well as a sitting area, private balcony, luxury bath with shower and additional bedding to sleep two additional guests. Because these are mid-ship Mini-Suites, you'll have easy access to everything fun and exciting on board.
Very nice and spacious room. This cruise is 7 days long and I wouldn't want to be in a smaller room. We had a nice sitting area next to the balcony to stretch out and relax. The balcony was a good size, plenty of room for at least 4 people to be out there and enjoy it. Our cabin attendant was excellent and always asked us if we needed anything for the room. Stay away from the mini suites under the garden cafe! The chair dragging noise starts around 6:30am and goes almost non stop till after the buffer closes at 11pm. I should have listened to the other reviews while booking. Many talked about this issue. Read entire member review >>
Awesome cabin. The balcony was a good size and we made use of it daily. Always had a view of the ports from this room. The cabin was much more spacious than I was anticipating. Our family of 4 was quite comfortable. The bathroom was a good size, and having the tub/shower was nice. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was very nice with enough space for all our belongings. With the new set up they took away the desk which we usually used but got around this with minor adjustments. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was small But good enough for the 4 of us.. Had our own Bathtub, and Coffee maker so we were great.. Balcony was big enough for 4 of us to be on and still have room to walk.. Read entire member review >>
Had a balcony and a nice room, could have used a little more closet space and shelves in the bathroom. Great bathroom though with the toilet secluded. My first balcony, so it was super! Room was kept clean for us! Read entire member review >>
Room very outdated. Our door didn't always lock. We had another guest come right into our room one morning, and I called for Security, but no one showed up until after I went down to Guest Services 3 hours later. Kept complaining that our door wouldn't lock all of the time. Even after steward cleaned room, I came back to an empty room by myself and door was unlocked. Very scared to say the least. Up until the last morning, door still unlocked when we left the room. Terrible! Read entire member review >>
We booked a balcony on the 9th deck but by the time we boarded we had been upgrades to a mini suite on the 11th deck in cabin 11606. The cabin was quiet and there is plenty of storage for everything. The bathroom has a bathtub which might make it hard for some people to get in and out of. There is a table and two chairs in the mini suites. I would not pay extra for a mini suite but glad we had the extra room. Read entire member review >>
Our room is on 11th floor, mid-ship on the left side. When the ship docks at heritage wharf the room faces the dockyard, to me this is a plus. During most of the trip, I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and reading. We saw dolphins, whales, and birds on the trip back. The size is about right for a family of 4.
On the last 2 sea days, the 12th floor main pool area had party all the way to 11pm. Then the staffs started to cleanup after that. They makes a lot noises. It does not bother me that much. But think twice booking on 11th floor if you are not late-sleep kinda. Read entire member review >>
This cabin is ok for 3 people--but there is a lack of storage space and closet space. There is a small table in the area set aside for the 3rd person, but it is wedged in, and it is nearly impossible to get the second chair out. With the sleep sofa opened, you cannot get around well. The balcony has only two chairs and a small table--sufficient but just barely. The bathroom is ok, large enough, but not much space for usual things like tooth brushes and paste for three people. But you make do. Closet is limited to about 20 hangers--if you have 3 adults, you will probably need a few more than that. Shelf storage is at a premium. There is a privacy curtain between the main sleeping area and the sleep sofa area--keeps out light and some sounds. The cabin steward was very good about keeping us in towels and other necessities. The comfort of the sleep sofa is only so-so. But it was only for a week, and we had fun. Read entire member review >>
Location was great. The boat was very stable. Plenty of room for "stuff". Bed horrible, bedding torn in places, furniture old. We liked the paneling in the room. Would have rather had just a refrigerator than a mini bar. Close to elevators but couldn't hear the noise. Read entire member review >>
The room is a very nice size, you have plenty of storage, the balcony is a good size too. This room as seen many travellers I am sure of it but the bed was very comfortable we slept very well. Read entire member review >>
Excellent room, seemed bigger than the 283 sqft they said it was. Some people complained about deck 11 being noisy. Our cabin was just below the pool area and we were just fine. Some noise...but we were making it. :-) Read entire member review >>
When I saw our cabin rate had dropped by nearly half a week before departure, NCL graciously bumped us up (from balcony to mini-suite) and I have to say I'm spoiled now...probably done't want to go back to a balcony...so it was wise on their part rather than have an angry and resentful client. I was a little worried bout being just under the edge of the pool and dining area, but it was generally pretty quiet (with the exception of that day in port). Even when there were parties in the pool area, we didn't hear anything. It is directly across from a crew door, and very close to the stairs, but neither of those proved noise either. The only noise we had (as one other reviewer noted) was some carts rolled across the dining floor first thing in the morning. Nothing awful...at first I though it was distant thunder and it only lasted a few seconds, and was only a couple of times each morning, if that. I loved being mid ship and near the stairs only one floor below the food and a few floors above the entertainment. Read entire member review >>
Loved the room and the balcony. Appropriate storage for two people. We had rough seas a couple nights and the closet doors kept opening and closing and waking us up. That needs to be addressed. Other than that the room was perfect, but tv selection was horrible hardly any channels you got fox news msnbc bbc a couple channels with movies that was it. Read entire member review >>
11616 - Handi cap cabin. Very poorly designed. Injured myself due to design of bathroom. Sadly engineered would not recommend for anyone let alone a handi capped person. Comfortable nevertheless, good stewart, but my injury was fully preventable had NCL properly designed the cabin. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 11652-Mid Ship Mini Suite with Balcony. Good size and well appointed. Bathroom has a tub. Ample drawer and closet space. I had to crawl over my husband to open the closet. Below the Garden Cafe, but heard very little noise from it. Read entire member review >>
Mini-Suite was nice size with a pretty big bathroom compared to other ships I have been on. Has tub/shower, nice sized vanity and a toilet with it own door. Plenty of space for clothes, refrigerator and a vanity area with mirror. Read entire member review >>
I commented somewhat in the review. Do know that you can hear deck chairs being shoved around at 5 a.m. every morning. Also the walls are very thin. The room is in a great location, midships, exactly one deck below the buffet, exactly above the atrium (several decks). Read entire member review >>
My cabin was fabulous. I will say that upon arrival, it seemed a little less than spotless. Only in the sense that the surfaces of fixtures were a little dusty, or had retained fingerprints. I know this sounds picky and well it is. I travel frequently, and stay in relative comfort for accommodations.
Please do not misinterpret this comment as a complaint, but merely an observation. I did wipe down some surface areas upon arrival. The pursuing service and cleaning was attentive, thorough, and consistent. Read entire member review >>
11610, midship family balcony. Nice location very near the elevators without a lot of noise. This cabin has a bath tub and should not be booked for someone with a handicap. Read entire member review >>
Noisy when pool parties were going on until 1:30am. Could hear every word of every song with doors closed. Could hear some noise from above at times. Convenient location to spa, gym, buffet and elevators. Read entire member review >>
Under the Garden Cafe, but there was little noise at night. One night we heard carts rolling, but it was no big problem. We could hear women's heels walking back and forth, again it was no problem. Limited drawers but plenty of shelving in the big closet. Firm bed, I liked it. It would be crowded with four people in here. Read entire member review >>
Our Aft Mini-Suite was a little bigger than the balcony cabins we have had on other ships, but generally the same layout and features. The bathroom was particularly nice as it had a separate sliding door for the toilet area. It had a tub-shower combo. The closet was very typical with ample selves and hanging bars. It also had fold-down clothing bars if you had a lot of shirts or blouses. The bed was comfortable and there was a sleeper love seat. There was a flat-screen TV and a two-person table and chairs. There were two small end tables next to the bed and a coffee table in front of the love seat. The Balcony was typical size and held a chair a lounge and a very small table. We had a friend in the cabin next to us so we brought one of their chairs over and put it on our balcony with no space issue. The cabin does not have very many drawers (only two) however there are ample self areas for at least two-peoples clothing. There is room under the bed for at least four large suitcases. The Aft Mini-Suite is located under the Garden Buffet, so there was a rolling noise each evening and early morning as carts delivered items. Not a real issue though. Read entire member review >>
Cabin - Jr. suite size was fine. However, there were broken fixtures in the tub and sink, cabin service was very spotty - soap / toilet paper would run out without being refilled. Toilet room smelled of urine constantly. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 11128 on Deck 11. Mini-suite, mid-ship with bathtub and balcony. Close to the central elevators and the Garden buffet. Good sized room and balcony. Lots of storage space. Could be noisy sometimes as the pool deck was directly overhead so there could be sounds when they were moving furniture at night. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 11078 - Mini-suite. I was in that same mini-suite 7 years ago. It was exactly the same...which means it could use an update. It was looking a bit worn. Good size cabin, adequate storage, balcony, nice size bath, table & chairs, large couch, dressing table. Good location, close to main elevators. Read entire member review >>
Initially we had a balcony but were upgraded to mini-suite (11128) after final payment. Having different rooms in our group, we were able to see a few room configurations. One of the rooms we saw was our original balcony and we were glad we got the upgraded room which had more couch and bathroom space. We weren't in the room a lot but it was nice to have the extra space when we were both in the room. There was a sign at the reception desk indicating the cruise was full and that no room changes could be accommodated.
Recommendation: The watercloset had an institutional smell but fortunately we had a room freshener that eliminated the odors. Read entire member review >>
We were in 11650 (mid ship mini suite) was certainly a very nice cabin and perfect for a family of 3. With the pack and play, we moved one of the dining table chairs and the small coffee table onto the balcony (very generously sized balcony) which left plenty of room for the pack and play though it did block part of the couch. The bathroom and full size bathtub were great. We were underneath the Garden Cafe (the buffet) which was quite noisy at times. The noise was that of people and carts rolling and wasn't bothersome while we were awake, but I am a very light sleeper, and it did bother me early in the morning. Unfortunately, most of the mini-suites are underneath noisy areas which is really annoying. Mattresses were a bit hard and uncomfortable but not terrible. There was lots of storage space but only two very small drawers. Of note, the closet has a light in the back you can turn on to see your stuff better. Read entire member review >>
Not much storage but appreciated being able to store luggage under the bed. We were mid-ship so location was awesome! Hallway was never noisy. I would've preferred a shower stall as opposed to the tub but appreciated the hand-held shower head. New flat-screen TV's but the sound quality left a lot to be desired. Our cabin was always cleaned and ready and we loved having a different towel animal each night! Read entire member review >>
We checked into our cabin, a mini-suite mid ship (11588). Having only cruised once before, we had never experienced the balcony and larger bathroom- we will never cruise without a mini suite at the minimum. Totally worth the minimal price upgrade from balcony. Our ship was due for upgrading in a few months, and I am sure that is for the tv! It was a uber-tiny old fashioned tv. Our balcony was bigger than the standard, and was well worth the room, as we really enjoyed the space. Relaxing trip.
Our cabin stewards (Putu and Allan) were superb. They helped with everything we needed and went well beyond the call of duty. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was great, just about everything we needed. My only complaint about the mini-suite was that there are only 2 drawers and they are tiny tiny tiny! The closet is big enough for everything you need but I like to put things in drawers. I managed though. The location was nice, close to the stairs but not too close to hear everything. However, we were right across from the crew stairwell and the storage closet. So we would hear that door slamming occasionally and the steward's cart was often right outside out door. This wasn't an inconvenience at all, just something to note. We were also apparently right under a huge walk-in freezer for the buffet so in the morning, we would hear stuff going on above us. Nothing too bad. Read entire member review >>
11598 Cat. AF Mid-ship Balcony small but nice. Quite close to elevators which made it very convenient but yet not noisy at all. Bed comfortable. TV miniscule. Sitting area small. Bathroom nice and included a tub and separate WC. Closet space not ample at all.
Pretty much a glorified balcony cabin with a great central location. Read entire member review >>
We were immediately confronted with a number of logistical problems aboard the Dawn. Firstly, for a suite, the cabin was ridiculously small. There was a table supposedly for 2, however one chair was tucked in right against the wall, with no room in the cabin to move the table for access. The table's second chair was out on the balcony. The cabin was very narrow, and one of the beds was right up against the closet. There were only 2 drawers in the cabin. The television was a small 15" old style and was not visible from the beds, if pointed towards the sofa. The in-cabin safe had no numbers on it as they were worn out. And no matter how many lights we turned on and with the drapes wide open, the cabin was cavernously dark. However, most problematic was the bathtub, which is built up so high that our mother was unable to access it. To add insult to injury, some of the towels put in our cabin on the first day were either stained or seriously frayed. Read entire member review >>
Good layout, excellent balcony that can be connected to next cabin's balcony if you also have the adjoining suite at 11072. Plenty of storage. Good, mid-ship location. Only 1 outlet located in hall next to bathroom. Read entire member review >>
Great balcony cabin on deck 11 midships with a large overhang that prevented any clothes on our balcony from getting wet in a sudden downpour. As quiet as the neighbors you have and ours were not to intrusive. We love to sleep with the balcony door open when at sea and underway. Door closed and A/C on when docked overnight. Good shower pressure. Excellent cabin stewards Claudia and Albano. Read entire member review >>
Mini suites on the Dawn are actually extended balconies. The king bed is extremely comfortable but a little short. The sofa opens to a be for two and is situated sideways so there is plenty of room to get to the balcony. Our cabin comfortable fit 4 people. Storage was adequate. The key pad for the safe had some numbers rubbed off. Balcony was nice but mettle slats in the ceiling rattled in rougher seas, AF mini suites are on deck 11. Midship cabins are under the pool area and can be noisy at night, though most noise stops by midnight. the TVs are lame old 13 inch tube models with many NCL promotional channels, national news and sports networks and a movie channel. But who really goes on a cruise to watch TV? Read entire member review >>
Even though across from the crew space, the cabin was very quiet. The balcony had a larger overhang with 2 lounge chairs and small table. The closet was ample size and had a light inside behind the rod, which we found on the last day. This room connects with another mini-suite. Read entire member review >>
These mini-suites are slightly different than the Gem and the Pearl, and not for the better. It is very difficult to open the closet door without hitting the bed and the shelves inside the closet are less convenient than the placement on other ships. The balcony is average and we had no problem with it. The bathroom is roomy enough, but for those who are not so limber, it is very difficult to get in and out of the bathtub/shower without falling. There is no grip bar to assist you, so be very careful. It is for that reason alone, that if we ever cruise with NCL again, we would choose a balcony cabin with the stall shower. Our cabin had a nasty mildew smell about it and there was nothing to be done for it. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 11116, handicapped mini suite. (We were assigned this via a Guarantee AG booking.) Extremely spacious, as it is nearly double-sized to accomodate wheelchairs. Double-sized balcony, with two sets of floor to ceiling sliding glass doors. More than enough storage for two people. No bathtub in this mini. The Deck 11 location mid-ship near elevators was sensational - we barely felt like we had to walk anywhere. Very little noise from hallways or above. Read entire member review >>
