The cabin was awesome....LOTS of storage space...quiet....make up area was great so my husband could be showering while I was doing my stuff....butler (Lea) was awesome....afternoon snacks everyday....answered any questions...always happy to help with any request. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was freshly redecorated. Everything was in perfect working order and immaculately maintained. Our only disappointment was that they cushions on the balcony were the old ones that had been weathered for years. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the quality of the bed sheets was luxurious. The bath towels were over-sized and plentiful. The tea and espresso with the new Delongi coffee maker was a smashing hit. Our cabin steward was a wizard and created amazing towel animals and had a menagerie of towel animals (including tiny mice) with a striped towel in the shape of a heart displayed on our bed for our wedding anniversary. It delighted us greatly. Read entire member review >>
This cabin was bigger than mini-suites, but the Family Suites in the front were twice the size. After seeing the size of their bathroom and living area, I would have chosen one of those Family Suites instead. My first cruise so thought I wanted a balcony, but didn't really use it so floor to ceiling windows in the Family Suites would have been great since extra room!
Overall the cabin was nice....only complaints I have are the small bathroom area and the only 110 volt plug was in the vanity area (far away from the sleeping area where you normal plug in things like your cell phone or for me, my CPAP machine). So bring 2 LONG extension cords with you! As far as the bathroom....why do they need a divider between the sink & the toilet. It just made the toilet area that much smaller. Not something you would want to have in the suites!
The butler and steward were awesome! Loved the towel animals and the snacks brought to the room daily. They really tried to please! Read entire member review >>
The dry dock made changes to the curtains, and rugs in this cabin and the new colors are now avocado and lime, the orange is gone. The furniture is also new, the chair now has arms, and the new coffee table is larger and made of wood rather than the old one that was glass. The bench at the foot of the bed is gone. The table and chairs is new also. This large cabin has tons of storage, and huge closet. There is a flat screen TV, and there are movies on demand that are no cost for suite guests. There was an umbrella in the closet.
This is a great cabin, right on the corner of deck 10. The steward left the door open to the extra curved section of the balcony and we had a great view. The large balcony has two lounge chairs with cushions and a small table. Read entire member review >>
Our Cabin 10228 was the aft facing Penthouse Suite. The room had plenty of space and was clean. The balcony on the back afforded us an amazing views and we spent a lot of time relaxing there. The bathroom was plenty big even for a larger guy as myself. The bed was very comfortable. The cabin area was extremely quite hardly ever heard anything. I think I could take up permanent residence in the cabin. Read entire member review >>
Cabin is comfortable and more spacious than a mini-suite. We love the aft facing cabins and this was no exception. The Lavaza Espresso Machine is marvelous. I suggested a lighted magnifying makeup mirror at the makeup vanity for ladies. The other ships in the fleet have this in their suites and it was missed. Read entire member review >>
The bedding and pillows were very comfortable and luxurious. It's a relatively small Penthouse compared to other ships, but it is roomy enough to be comfortable for two people. There is a separate makeup vanity but no lighted magnified make-up mirror which was a shock to me. The lighting was very poor. The light over the bar area was out and we requested it be fixed but it never was. One safe was locked upon our arrival but we were so busy and you had to be present when they came to open it, that we just left it locked. The lack of a magnifying lighted make-up mirror really annoyed me! I was renewing my wedding vows on this cruise and wanted to look my very best. Read entire member review >>
Our room was huge compared to our balcony room last year. There was a king size bed, a desk and chair, a table with 4 chairs, a pull-out love seat, a small table with another chair, a separate dressing area, and the bathroom. The bathroom had a toilet, sink, and tub with shower. There was a big closet with more than enough hangers, two safes, and many drawers, shelves and cubbies to store anything you have. I was amazed at how much storage there was. We also had a big balcony with two lounge chairs and a little table. The bakery is in the aft part of the ship so when you open the sliding doors to go onto the balcony, you can smell the bread/rolls baking! There is also a Lavazza coffee maker with coffee and tea pods, cups and saucers, spoons, sugar, creamers, and napkins.
We met our cabin steward, Jay who was amazing! We never had to do a thing to the room. He came in twice a day, replaced the towels and cleaned up for us. At night he would leave our towel animals, chocolates, and dailies for the next day along with any messages from the concierge. Read entire member review >>
Would definitely book the Aft Penthouse again. Didn't see the need for the Butler, but we enjoyed the extra storage, large Bath and large balcony. The king bed was VERY comfortable Read entire member review >>
The penthouse suite on deck 10 is outstanding. The balcony is a bit larger on deck 10 plenty of room for two loungers. The view in Bermuda is of the harbor, and the dock. The extra perks that come with a suite really make a difference. Breakfast and Lunch at Cagney's, and being given the chance to be the first off the ship in Bermuda, and being escorted off back in Boston save quite a bit of stress. The location is good, not a huge walk to the stairs and elevators. It is very quiet, we didn't notice any noise with the spa above and cabins below. Read entire member review >>
Perfect, Lots of room to store your stuff. Plenty of closet space. The best views. Comfortable bed. Big tv. No Hallway Noise. Perfect location. The service that comes with it is priceless! Read entire member review >>
Good balcony but needs to be maintained. Bed is so comfy!! Dressing area is a bit tight. Has two safes. Can be loud during the white hot party. Loved the Lavazza Coffee machine! Read entire member review >>
Aft-Penthouse: Plenty of storage space, balcony not quite as big as some other NCL Aft Penthouses. Bed was WONDERFUL!!! NCL always has awesome beds! Nice flat-screen TV, excellent room service and butler/concierge/room-steward. Service was tops! Didn't have a hand-held phone for use on-board. After having a suite on the Pearl, that was a disappointment, especially travelling with a large family party. Biggest negative: inadequate lighting in the bathroom. For a Penthouse, I found that disappointing.
Otherwise, we were overall satisfied! Even given an extra bottle of wine... my favorite! Read entire member review >>
The room is showing it's age - the coffee machine broke (had to call twice, the first time they just unplugged it and plugged it back in but it was still broken), the toilet wouldn't flush (with no foreign objects involved, this happened twice, both times they fixed it without entering our room), the curtain by the balcony was badly worn and missing a way to tie it back, half the curtain around the bed area was missing, there was a loose section of wood trim, the seat in the closet area fell apart (the seat was attached to the base loosely with two screws that were too small for the holes), and one part of the wood railing on the balcony had an inch of vertical movement if you leaned on it. The cabin was top part of our trip. Very quiet, wonderful balcony, enough room for three adults. Plenty of closet space. Small on drawers. Wonderful view from balcony. Fantastic smell from kitchen every day. Read entire member review >>
Quiet Location never heard from either cabin
Balcony was narrow, but still nice maybe a chair and lounge would have been better.
Great storage space for the 4 of us
couple of rips in the wall paper 2 small cabinets had broken hinges
drapes around bed a bit wrown as were the ones on the slidder
Wish they had some way to keep the baloncy door open
Overall the cabin was great Read entire member review >>
Great Romance Suite Deck 10 Balcony, however the Spa Window washing machine which was in use at 9am on a Port Day in Bermuda and at 2am on the return night at sea, produced a hurricane of water cascading onto the balcony an unacceptable noise. No warning given on Port Day and got drenched on the balcony. Woken at 2am at night, the door to the balcony was open, with torrential deluge of water and noise. Why can NCL not warn suite guests ? Good size cabin. The balcony was a bit small. 2 loungers and a small table barely fit on the balcony. A foot or 2 of depth to the balcony would have been great. The bed was comfortable, not too hard and not too soft. The sofa was comfortable. The small dining table was useful to store our daily 'stuff', but we never used it for dining. The refrigerator area had a bit of a musty/dank smell. It was only noticible when the bar cabinet door was open. The closet was very large. The best part was doors on both sides so we could both get at our clothes at the same time. The vanity/make-up area was nice. Plenty of room and a nice big mirror. The bathroom was a good size. The tub sat a bit high. It could be a challenge for someone with limited mobility to step up and into the tub/shower. Read entire member review >>
Penthouse Suite AEhuge closet, tons of storage, draws, very comfortable bed, big deck (teak wood), good size dining area, espresso/cappuccino machine a huge plus!, comfortable, large bathrooms, beautifully designed and appointed. NCL did this right! Read entire member review >>
My first look at my cabin on deck 9 - an AE. WOW is all I can say! What a nice cabin. Spacious, well laid out with a queen size bed, small sofa and chair in the corner and a table with four chairs. There was a fairly good size flat screen TV with a desk just below, a fancy coffee maker (with those small coffee capsules that you put in the machine to make a fresh cup of coffee) and a corner cupboard with ice bucket, glassware and a mini fridge right below. Then you go down a short hallway to a dressing area/vanity with a closet. In that hall is the door to the bathroom that has a small tub and shower, sink and then a separate cubicle for a toilet. The balcony had two lounger chairs and small table between. The balcony is narrow but certainly lots of room to stretch out and enjoy the world going by.
There was a small bottle of champagne and water on the counter. There was a nice flower arrangement on the small table by the couch, and various elemis products in the bathroom besides the dispensers - shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, a shower cap, q-tips, a couple of soap bars, and Epson salts in a container as well. There was a nice terry cloth bathrobe in the closet, and a pillow menu on the night table if I had wanted different pillows. I was glad to see the white bedding - much nicer than the photos on the NCL website that show rather loud colour schemes (the bed skirts are still the old ones and give you an idea of how bright the bed spreads must have been! Yikes!). A letter was on the table welcoming me from the Concierge giving his contact information and my Butler's phone #. I had met the Concierge briefly in the VIP lounge but he was going back and forth with different guests and had another staff person helping with the escort onto the ship. I didn't get to see him until later in the evening. There was also an invitation on the table to the Captains Cocktail party for the next night at Spinnakers Lounge. Later that evening I met my Butler and he was able to take my daily canape order - there was a selection of about six or seven items to choose from, and they were delivered everyday at about 4:30 pm - a nice perk!
Because this was an aft cabin there was no noise in the hallways. I occasionally heard scraping of chairs on the balcony above me, and a couple of times smelled cigar or cigarette smoke when I was on the balcony - but nothing of significance to prevent me from enjoying the balcony.
