We chose this transatlantic cruise because of its port intensive itinerary. The added attraction was that it was scheduled to only have 4 consecutive days at sea. We ended up having 6 days at sea because the ship was unable to dock in Ponta Delgado due to poor weather.

DO NOT recommend this cruise line, neither this breakaway ship! It really broke our vacations from day one! We were traveling with my senior, handicapped 82 years old mother. We had booked the TA from New York to Civitavecchia for both 2020 and 2021. Of course, COVID interrupted those plans, so we were finally able to cruise in 2023. Embarkation: Staff in NYC were friendly and efficient. We were in our room on the ship at 11AM (although the ship had been empty for 3 days).

Booked a transatlantic fm NYC to Rome. The ship (Breakaway) is in need to major cleaning and updating. Food in complimentary restaurants, while plentiful, is bland and not usually very hot.
