We had friends going on this cruise so we joined them. It was our first cruise. I loved sitting out on the balcony at night you could see so many stars. The food was great. We did have to wait a long time at Cagney's, they gave us extra drinks to compensate. There is always something to do on ship. We didn't do some activities we wanted to as we were still at another activity. Warning! Don't have beads in your hair if you want to do the waterslide! LOL Actually the only thing that upset me was the smoking area. On the aft sundeck you are squeezed into a small area when they could have made half the deck smoking. The bar could even be on the non-smoking side. I know there will be backlash to the smoking area, but just asking for a little room to move and not having people squished in like sardines in a can. All said we had a great time! Read Less

We had a great vacation onboard the Bliss. Food was great and entertainment was varied and excellent. Buffet-Lots to chose from. Standouts were the Mongolian Beef, vetable stir fry, and beef with broccoli. Room service- Great turkey sub, my husband liked the supreme pizza. We ordered often. The Local- Great that there is something 24/7. Good pub food, especially the Asian wings. Q- was ok, other restaurants were better. Cagneys-Food was excellent, service was slow. Le Bistro- wonderful meal. I am not really a desert eater, but they were the bomb. Teppaanyaki-Very good. We had great tablemates and a funny chef. Prohibition show- It was ok, but I don’t feel like it worth $36 each. Adults only for sure. Jersey Boys- We really enjoyed this show. It was face paced and the cast was very talented. Siglo band was excellent as was Tatianna. We took the aft elevators whenever possible. We never had to wait for an elevator. We had a great time and would not hesitate to sail her again. Read Less

Most nights we ate in Savor, the same menu as the MDR and we found a very good wait team, ask for Bernadette and Guisti! The Mixx bar right outside of Savor was great, Allen was our favorite bartender. Sugarcanes outside bar is very nice when the ship is moving. St Thomas and Tortola are both very beautiful. Comedian was good, the singer/comedian was funny. One hint though make your show reservations as soon as you get on the ship. They have an enclosed smoking area in the casino so even though there is a still a smoky smell at least you don't have to be encased in a cloud of smoke. The Bliss was built for Alaska so there are alot of great views all over the ship. Read Less

My first cruise was the Eastern Caribbean in 1989 on Carnival Cruise Line Jubilee. This makes my 10th Year’s Anniversary of cruising. I wanted to go back to my first cruise to celebrate my anniversary. I enjoy cruising with NORWEGIAN Cruise line, i got a special invation to the Officers Wine and Dine Dinner.and a invation to a special Anniversary Social Event. I wanted to go on their new ship the Bliss .That is a beautiful ship, the employees, food, entertainment and service was excellent. When I call the service desk to ask for something it was done or deliver right away. What I like about that ship to is they have a Starbucks Coffee and lots of hot tubs on the ship. The Casino had all the up-to-date Slot Machines, race car track, bowling lane, Laser tag. What I didn’t like was you had to put your room key down into a slot on the wall behind you entire door in order for the lights and Electric plugs to work in your room. Overall I rate my Cruise as A A A A A. I would like to go on this ship again. Read Less

In one week they only have 2 shows in the Theater, a 3rd show in the theater was basically a repeat of a short length show that is run in one of the smaller lounges each evening. 3 restaurants with the identical menus. You might consider they would have a different theme dinner in each restaurant - not so. The meals were generally good & in most cases service was good with some exceptions with filling water glasses was poor. It seemed the waiter staff had more tables to serve than normal causing on this cruise not the best service we are familiar with. Our stateroom was small which was located on the 15th floor & happened to be across from a large crew workroom that had carts rolling in & out starting around 7AM & a vacuum running between 7-8AM. On sea days 2 side by side lounge chairs were hard to find around the pool but with 4,000 passengers on board that is to be expected. The pool size for this large cruise ship was very small & on sea days was very crowded. The bar service around the pool we found was good. Guest Services (on the ship) were very helpful vs our Travel Agent & who the travel agent booked this cruise with. Read Less

The bliss is a beautiful ship. The staff are amazing. This ship is great for Alaskan cruises. It is not the greatest for travelling the carribean. Not alot of outdoor areas. Pool is disappointing. Could not swim in it. There was always too many people sitting around it to get into it. It was like one big sitting bar. It is 6 feet deep also. This is not good for someone who wants to go I to the water and be able to touch bottom. No shallow end. This ship is not well designed for 4000 plus passengers. Long wait for elevators etc. We did not use the race track or laser tag. I did hear they were booked fast. We did enjoy ourselves. This was our first cruise. If we were to cruise again we will look for a smaller vessel. We enjoyed our vacation. Thank you Norwegian for your amazing staff. Read Less

We took this trip for my daughters 21st birthday, she turned 21 on the day we sat sail 1-12-2019. What a way to celebrate your 21st right.....Hold On.. We love Norwegian. We have been on 5 cruises with them. Each one better then the last...Until now!!! Ship was nice, big, plenty of space, never felt over crowded, except at the pool. The staff was not the same friendly staff as as you would expect from Norwegian. At times it felt as if we were bothering them. From little things like a cup of ice at dinner, or the ketchup is empty can we get another. Sometimes we would never see the staff again after we asked for something. Just strange. One of the big complaints I had was, one day at sea, we had our towels on chairs , at the pool, on the upstairs deck, and a staff member came to me and said that he was going to remove our towels because the chairs we had, were not being used? I explained to him that my family was in the pool. He made me call my family from the pool, to come sit in the chairs, so his supervisor could see that I wasn't just saving them for someone. He told me he got a complaint from a guest that the 5 seats were empty for a long time and she wanted a chair. So I guess every time you want to go to the pool, hot tub, bathroom, bar, eat, you must give up your chair? Now everyone know don't come up to the pool at 11am and expect to find a seat. It not going to happen. Then there was the go carts. They advertise a 1 day pass( unlimited rides) for $29.95. When I went to purchases it they told me they were not selling that pass on this cruise? Then why is it advertised on the web site? When I asked The woman she said, just because. Nice answer. She said they sold the weekly pass for $199.95 but they sold out? When my Son and his friends went to ride them that night the were just doing a walk on (No reservation) they got there at 8pm, the staff asked if they had a reservation they said no, they made them wait 40min to ride. NOT ONE PERSON CAME UP THERE TO RIDE WHILE THE 4 OF THEM WAITED. UNREAL. Staff told them reservations come first. There are a few other things but this is getting long. Just beware of this ship if you do go on it.. Ship is good...STAFF NEEDS WORK. Read Less

We chose Norwegian over the other cruise lines because of the "Free-Style" dining concept. You can eat, drink and party anytime you want. We went to Hawaii on the Pride of America and it was spectacular. This trip we were on the Bliss. Brand new. Gargantuan. We always get a balcony and love it. The entertainment always keeps you on the move. Plenty to choose from. Also, the poolside activities are hilarious. We embarked and went to the Sugarcane Mojito Bar. Bob, the "Chocolate Cowboy" made us feel welcome and part of the entire ship family immediately. The experiences just kept going. The main dining rooms were always ready to serve. Never had to wait and never ran out of selections. We never ran across a single negative employee. They always stopped what they were doing to help you if you needed it. They also knew when to leave you alone. Two things that weren't up to our standards were the shore excursions and the final port. We went snorkeling in St. Thomas. It was OK but it didn't hold a candle to the snorkeling in Hawaii. We also went to Balmoral Island beach break. Save your money. We had to walk a long way to a pier through so many vendors and taxi drivers. You can keep Nassau. It seemed dirty and the vendors were unfriendly, rude and seemed like they expected you to spend a lot of money. Our agent said: "Stay on the ship" and she was right. St. Thomas and Tortola were pretty cool. The other down side to our experience was the smoking. Our neighbor, on the first night tried to have a smoke. As soon as he lite it I could smell it. We brought it to the attention of guest services who very promptly addressed the issue. But we were helpless. There were others even though they have a special section for smokers. I only hope Norwegian ( or any other cruise line) comes up with a "non-smokers" cruise. I'll be the first to sign up. Would we go again? ABSOLUTLY!! Read Less

This was our first family cruise. There were 9 people in our party altogether. 6 adults and 3 kids ages 10, 10, & 11. My wife turned 40 in November and one of the other adult women turned 40 just prior. So, we decided on a cruise to celebrate. We chose Norwegian Bliss because we wanted a newer ship and because the reviews for Norwegian were so favorable. We were not disappointed. There was a packed schedule of activities to keep us entertained any time we wanted. Of course these can be participated in at your leisure, so we also had a lot of free time to relax. The staff was utterly amazing. They were all super friendly and accommodating. From the Cruise Director Dan Dan, Assistant Cruise Director Jacky Tang to the folks who led some of the entertainment like Ankica Ivanovich, M&M, Henri, etc. to the extremely nice and caring people who ran the Splash Academy like Speedy, Gummi Bear, Pancake, Tornado, etc. Can't say enough good things about the Splash Academy and the game shows/activities that we and the kids got to participate in. And the Shows!!...Jersey Boys(Thanks to Bonnie and Shelby for the recommendation & performance), Prohibition(Thanks Sarah-Australia & Sarah-Niagara for hanging out with us and bringing me up for the final 'Dance'). Our Steward, Barrington, was amazingly helpful as well. We also saw a few comedy shows(Thanks Allison Weber, Flip Schultz, and Jim McDonald)If I could really dig for something to complain about it would be that the pool area tended to be a bit crowded during the day, but I'd be digging. This was every bit the experience we were looking for. We did three excursions(You must go see Jost Van Dyke in Tortola). We also went snorkeling in St.Thomas and and Everglades Air boat ride when we got back to Miami. I bought my first painting at the Art Auction that was super fun also. We got a balcony cabin. The room and especially the balcony was much bigger than the pics online suggest. Our family of 4 had no issue with all our stuff and hanging out. The food everywhere on the ship was perfect. Embarkation/Debarkation(which I was very worried about) were a snap. No issue, no delays. Bliss was super clean, even in all the public areas/restrooms. Read Less

Did this cruise with a group of 26 people. While the ship was overall beautiful and the food and drinks were great, the price was way too high for what you got. We got the unlimited drink package and the 4 night specialty dining option. While the food and drinks were amazing, the service in 2 of the main dining halls (The Manhattan Room and Taste) were terrible. Took over 2 hours just to get our food and we were seated right when they opened. If you didn't book a reservation for any of the other specialty restaurants or the 3 main dinning halls when you first got on and had to be right when they start boarding, you had to wait to eat a nice dinner at almost 8-9 pm or go eat in the buffet. The one comedy show I was able to see had some very funny comedians and Jersey Boys was awesome but trying to get into these shows was terrible. They put you in a stand by line if you don't have reservations and if people show up 10-15 mins late, they still let these groups in. Wasn't fair in my opinion to those that were there 10-15 mins prior to showtime to get a seat waiting in stand by. Same with the Go-Karts and Laser Tag. The Go-Karts were fun but not worth the extra $10 in my opinion. The staff at the go-kart track was terrible and they let young kids (8-9 yrs old) race that cant even see over the steering wheel, barely reaching the pedals, are not staying over in the right lane so you end up running into them if they can't make the turn. They also get mad if you accidently bump into someone who crashed or cut right in front of you. They also don't even have a standby line for any solo racers so they would let 8 karts go in one and then send out 5 in the next group. Also, you would book a time for 3pm but wouldn't even race until almost and hour later. Also good luck if it rains because if so, they cancel your race without being able to rebook and just give you back your money. Not really fair in my opinion. Both activities they just show you a video and then let you go. Overall the reservation system is total garbage. Outside of those, the Cabin/stateroom is very nice and the staff take very good care of your room and your belongings. Overall, its nice if you just want a getaway but not worth the extra money they nickel and dime you for. Would much rather be back on Carnival next time. Read Less

My spouse and I like NCL and wanted to try out the new ship the Bliss! The ship itself is gorgeous! The observation lounge is well appointed with food options there. The bar staff was great especially the “chocolate cowboy “ in the mojito bar! He greeted every customer by name and knew their drink after waiting on them the first time! The new restaurants were okay. I probably would not choose to eat there again ( Los Lobos and Q) The parties were the same tired songs and dances, it’s like the movie ground hog’s day same old same old!! The DJ only played rock, fist pumping, head banging and Latin music! The night club was filled with intoxicated people spilling their drinks all over the dance floor creating a hazard and lawsuit waiting to happen with s slip and fall!! Another hazard was small children unattended at buffet trying to reach hot food off counter that they are not tall enough to see what is actually on counter!! The game shows were the same from ship to ship with same questions. Get real and someone be original!!!! The comedians were horrible especially the host ... very sad. The photography staff was funnier than the comedians were.. SMH NCL has threre newer ships going to the same tired islands.. St Thomas, Bahamas.... really!!!!! If they insist on going to the Bahamas then please go to NCL’s private island!! Please change your itinerary NCL to include different islands for the newer ships coming out. Go to Aruba!! The ship itself was clean, and nice looking and most staff were friendly and engaging!! The cruise director was friendly, funny and out and about the ship every day!!! NCL needs to change up their itineraries, get a better DJ, change up theme parties and DJ to add all genres to parties and night club scene. Set and enforce drinking on dance floor while fist pumping to the sane music, add better comedians and enforce a minimum age in children to service themselves at buffet area. NCL safety and cleanliness should be your first priority. Lastly the muster drill was a joke. They had about 100 people stuffed in the small space by the cavern bar for this “very important requirement “!! So people did not pay attention at all . Maybe they could have s way for passengers to watch on video and after maybe scan card at beginning and end on presentation in your own cabin. That would help alleviate the mass exit from the drill as a whole in some small places!! Hopefully someone at NCL actually read and move for changes on these beautiful vessels!! On a positive note the race track cars were great but they missed an opportunity to have pics taken on Racetrack!! Money pit the doir!! Read Less

The spa with the sauna, salt room and cold room were refreshing. The shows were very entertaining . The room was comfortable, you learn to move around with someone else in the room. Look all around the room because their is extra space for clothes under the couch. Shopping is available at discounted prices on the ship. The person that took care of our cabin needs was the best, anything that we requested for the room, he ensured that we received it. The specialty dining was the best by far, the greatest. This is a beautiful ship. We had a mini suite and thought the bathroom was great. It had a huge double sink with 2 faucets and a big shower. Worth the extra charge for sure! The room is a bit smaller than Celebrity Ships I've been on width wise but same length. Nice room. Ample storage for clothes. The only thing I'd recommend is bring a light of some sort for the bathroom otherwise you have to turn the overhead light on during the night. We thought the food was pretty good on the ship. We did speciality dining 6 of the 7 nights and thought the food and service were really good. Ate one night in Taste, the regular dining room and thought the food was pretty good there too. We did breakfast almost every morning at either Taste or Savor and thought they were great. Service was good too. The ship is easy to navigate. Sometimes elevators are a bit full but another one comes along fairly quickly. Thought embarkation and debarkation were very easy. Everyone on the ship always has a smile and really tries hard to make your experience a good one. The Observation lounge is a great place to hang out plus they serve food all day long and there is a bar if you want a drink. As the week went along, more people found this treasure. They have comfortable furniture for reading and just watching the water. Neither of us had the drink package but we did notice that with all the people that did have it, bars were open everywhere on the ship all day long. When we were on Celebrity, it was pretty hard to find a bar open during the day except at the pool. Loved the outside deck that surrounds the specialty restaurants. Great place to hang out on the couches or to take a walk or get a drink. Really nice atmosphere and great place to watch the sun rise or set. On other ships this type of deck view is blocked by the life boats. The boats are on deck 7 on the Bliss a deck below Deck 8 where the specialty restaurants are. The ship definitely has places to view the water all the time; something that was lacking on Royal Caribbean's mega ships. On that ship, I felt like I was floating on an island where I rarely saw the water. NCL knows how to bring the ocean into the cruise experience especially when you eat outside at the specialty restaurants. Now here are my cons about the ship. The pool area is crowded and the music is SO LOUD it literally hurt my ears. I was surprised parents let their little ones hang out there...it was deafening. Actually we found the music was too loud almost everywhere. Couldn't hear the words to the music when bands played. Only the instruments. Love the adult solarium on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. NCL has a small adult area with chairs and a bar. The only problem is there is no shade even with 3 or 4 small umbrella's. Too bad cause that would have been great. Now for the shows. I liked Jersey boys although its a shorter version of the Broadway production. I left 15 minutes into Havanna. I couldn't get into it. Saw the comedienne's. Hard to get into The Social Club so appreciated the show that happened in the theater one time during the week. Liked the Beatle's tribute although again the music was so loud in a tiny venue. I missed a regular show that you could catch at either 7:30 or 9:30 on Celebrity ships. You always had to make reservations for the shows and they didn't always coincide with the times booked before you get on the ship at the specialty restaurants. Lots of stuff happened in the atrium. It's way too small for the purpose it serves for some of the shows there like the Newlywed game. People were everywhere with no seats. The theater would be a better choice for that and later in the night. The cruise director tried to make it sort of risqué yet there were young kids around cause it was pretty early. Overall, its a great ship that is staffed well. Like I mentioned earlier, the staff is always smiling and trying to make your experience a good one. I would like to see the music at a decibel that doesn't bust your eardrums and make your ears ring along with a show you could see every night with a 7:30-8:30 reservation. (Most shows were in the Atrium then) There is something for every age on this ship for sure!!!! Read Less

The Bliss now has been added to my list of favorite ships. The vessel itself is beautiful with everything in a logical place with the notable exception of Le Bistro, which is oddly hidden on an upper deck. The crew is fantastic, led by Jovo as Hotel Director. Everyone is friendly, caring and helpful. For me, the crew makes or breaks the experience, and this group made mine a joy throughout the week. The food was consistently at least good, with some excellent. Most of my dinners were in specialty restaurants, all of which performed well. Menus seem to change almost every month, which adds variety, but inevitably results in removal of my favorite items. I realize that’s a corporate issue, not a ship decision, but it’s worth mentioning anyway. The entertainment was excellent, led by the two big shows: Havana and Jersey Boys. Both were major productions with very talented casts. The Beatles tribute band also was great, including their theater show on the last night. Silas, the Cruise Director, did a wonderful job, backed up by an excellent cruise staff. I was in a balcony cabin. If you’ve been in a balcony on any NCL mega-ship (other than the Epic), you know what it’s like. At least they’ve finally improved the interactive TVs to provide more functionality. On the other hand, the internet service was awful. Much of the time, it was hard to log in, slow as an old-fashioned dial-up connection when you could get on, and unable to retrieve email too often because the server would time out. The worst I’ve experienced on any ship. Find a new provider; this is simply unacceptable. I’m anxious to sail on The Bliss again, though it’s scheduled move to New York will make that more difficult. As far as the senior officers, I expect to see many of them again after they launch The Encore next year. Read Less

Went on NCL Bliss for the excitement of a better ship with go-karts vs the NCL Epic and Escape. The Jersey Boys production was outstanding. The Havana show was good but not my type of show that I would want to pay for. The Observation Lounge/deck15 was the best part of the ship. What I was disappointed in were all the chairs and lounges in the Observation Lounge and Atrium. They were all very uncomfortable. People were laying on the fabric chaise lounges in the Observation Deck without towels underneath them. Questioned the sanitary conditions of those Observation Deck lounge chair fabrics after their use. The dining ( complimentary areas) was just ship food (some good some bad). Found the servers very good in the Manhattan Room. Had dinner one evening in Savour Restaurant and found the service to be poor. Did not eat in any specialty restaurants. The Meet and Greet with the ship personnel was excellent. Beds in stateroom felt uncomfortable as compared to the NCL Epic and NCL Escape. As to the cabin, never met the room Steward but the cabin got cleaned twice daily. The ports were nothing special, we primarily were on the NCL Bliss for the newness of the ship. There was an abundance of children on board and I would attribute that to free perk of 3rd and 4th passenger goes free. Although, we love children, we found many of them running out of control throughout the ship. Even saw them sliding down the rails on the stairways just outside the Manhattan Room. Very unappealing. We are Gold Latitude Members and usually purchase future cruise certificates but as a result of cruising on the NCL Bliss, we have decided to no longer sail with NCL. Read Less

This ship is too big. This was our third cruise with Norwegian (past cruises on Getaway and Escape). We were disappointed that Spice H2O was cut to half the size on the other ships to accommodate the loading area of the "race track" (the racing was pathetic, speed controlled by NCL employee and only a 3 or 4 laps, no room for passing). The Glow party became the Family Glow party and lasted one hour after which the DJ packed up his equipment and went elsewhere. We were also a little put off by the race track and laser tag taking up one whole deck. they took out the free activities and replaced them with revenue producing ones. I would rather have the ropes course, climbing wall, and basketball court rather then having to pay for the rather pathetic race track and rarely open laser tag. Other than that the crew and food were excellent. We ate at Q twice and it was probably the beast BBQ I have had. They are changing the drink menus also (no more Mango Meltdowns) and a lot of trainee bartenders that don't know anything beyond the basic mixed drinks. Christmas decorations were pretty, but blocked the view of the atrium from above, which is where we usually watch the shows from. The port at Nassau was awful, three other mega ships in port with us, excursions were rushed and crowded, not worth the time or expense, St. Thomas and Tortola were ok, but I don't think we will ever go on this itinerary again. we chose this ship because it was new and the price when we booked it was good. and the observation deck looked so amazing.we liked the last ncl cruise we went on very much.overall service was very good. specialty dinning restaurants were great, but no lobster tail.we also had not been to the eastern caribbean in a few years.we did spend time by the pool.sat on balcony alot. there were so many small children and babies on this cruise. kids running up and down the halls and the parents walking behind them,IDIOTS overall it was a very good cruise with nice ports of call, except nassau.im sure most frequent cruisers are tired of nassau, please stop going there.food and drink service was really good.the one thing I would ask is that small children and babies are not allowed in the specialty restaurants.its to long for them to be in there and get tired and cranky, and make it unenjoyable for other people. I wanted to see the new ship. It is not a ship for smokers, there is 1 area that is "free" to smoke. H2O had the smallest smoking area that I've seen on any NCL ship, it was crowded not comfortable and partially covered so if it rained you would likely get wet. You could not use the Cigar Room, and casino for smokers you had to play to smoke. The ship and entertainment was wonderful as well as the staff but not enough staff for the number of passengers. Was in the regular casino for 3 hours and not one wait staff in sight the whole time, had to go to the bar for drinks. The food was really good in Food Republic and Cagneys was sub-par which is unusual since it typically is way above average. I'm not sure if this is due to staffing or not. Personally, I will not go on the bliss again but mainly because I am a smoker, if you are not, you will likely enjoy the ship which is a sight to to see. I'm glad I went and the ship will be awesome traveling to Alaska. I do hope that they increase their staff though which would round out the average to excellent for most on board. Read Less

The Bliss is a beautiful ship. Norwegian got it right with this plus class. They have made up for the sins of the Epic. Embarkation was a breeze. They used two terminals at the Port of Miami and this kept the crowds to a minimum. We had barely finished our health surveys when the agent called us to the desk. We were on board within fifteen minutes of clearing security. As with many larger ships, the elevator count and placement is inadequate. They also seemed to accommodate fewer passengers than many ships. Getting around the ship is relatively easy if you remember that you sometimes need to "go down to go up". Entertainment was mostly good. Jersey Boys was excellent but Havana was very repetitious. Stage mechanicals were amazing. The Beatles tribute band was very entertaining but they really need a larger venue for this popular show. The comedy show was average. Games, competitions and karaoke were all fun. One of our favorite hangouts was the Atrium. The drinks at the Atrium bar were the best and most consistent. You won't go wrong if you attend any offerings in the Cavern Club. We tried three upcharge restaurants. Teppanyaki was excellent with great food and entertaining chefs. Le Bistro was excellent but was strangely located near the race track. La Cucina was a bit of a disappointment. When the waiter saw that I had eaten very little of my entree, he didn't even ask if there was something wrong. I had to bring to his attention that my meal was subpar. This did not put a damper on our trip as the meals in the main dining room (Taste and Manhatten) were excellent and the service was prompt and friendly. Enjoy a lunch at The Local pub. Buffet is well organized and the food tasty and warm. Seating is much less crowded than many large ships. Addition of booths was a great idea and the high tops provide additional seating. Pools are small and very crowded on sea days. Deck chairs are plentiful but you have to snag one early if you want to be near the pools or in the shade. Bar service is quick and friendly. Theater is large and comfortable. It is not overly ornate, more like a up class modern movie theater. Visibility is good from most seats. This was the first ship I have sailed where the theater did not have a balcony, eliminating the need for support posts that block views. I don't know why but Norwegian has the most disorganized method for disembarkation. It often involves a conga line of people with multiple suitcases weaving around the ship. Why call people to join the line when it is already a quarter mile long? Better to have them wait in the common areas then exit the ship as their tag color is called. All-in-all we had a very enjoyable cruise on the Bliss. Would definitely sail the Bliss again and recommend her to all. Read Less

A little pricey on this ship but I feel it's worth it. We love the spa on all Norweigan ships. Food was really good even in the buffet. I normally dont eat buffets but on the Bliss the buffet was great. Service was good. Very friendly staff. Will go on the Bliss again. Had a blast playing laser tag. Didnt get to ride the go carts. Just not enough time. Entertainment was great. I liked the Jersey Boys and Havana. Observation deck was very cozy and lots of room. Would be a great place to sit and watch wild life if you were cruising to Alaska. Lots of room to enjoy the sites. Read Less

We chose this cruise due to timing and itinerary. Also, having sailed several smaller ships, wanted to try a mega. My review is based on prior experience on smaller ships, so I’m not sure if I should have been surprised. First, I’m a fan of the freestyle dining and give very high marks to “Q” which was the best food on the ship. This could be an industry change, but all “included” meals did not match the quality I’ve experienced on RCC or HAC. Outside of Coco’s, which is phenomenal, I found the desserts to be disappointing, Loved the race track but would never do it more than once. The music/entertainment is outstanding. Especially recommend the Beatles cover band and 4Blue. My biggest disappointments involve the lack of service and personalized attention I have grown accustomed to. Other than the first day, did I ever experience anyone walking around with drink service. Regular restaurant service was poor and the sentiment of staff felt like they were doing us a favor by waiting on us. Several food orders wrong, which I can accept, except recovery also failed. Sat at many tables just waiting to be acknowledged by wait staff or brought coffee or refills. Let’s talk about the unlimited drink package: strange that includes all drinks up to $15.00, but not plain orange juice, water or coffee. Definitely felt like non-drinkers were on the wrong boat. Watch your pours at the bar: I had to take a breathalyzer test due to an accident and it registered 0.00, after 2 mojitos. They tasted good, but what was in them? Line does efficient job with getting on and off the boat, and muster drill was also super efficient - best one yet. Cabin was lovely and space used efficiently. First time on a cruise I had storage space I didn’t use. 11th floor balcony room with double sink. Steward was very good at securing eggcrate mattress topper to add comfort. Overall, the ship is stunning and allows for many places to explore and enjoy. But if you are wanting service and expect folks to assist you, choose another. It’s really ashame as basic training and English lessons could improve the customer experience 10x fold. Read Less

While the observation deck on this ship was wonderful, it is not their best ship. The observation deck was on Deck 15 and very nice. You could lay there in comfortable lounges to read a book, what the views leaving the port or what ever suited you. It was quiet and clean. The entertainment staff on this ship was EXCEPTIONAL! A lot fun, laughter, and friendly people! Cagney's steakhouse had awesome food! The ribeye is the best I have had in a long time. This ship has an adults only pool (no offense to anyone) which I thought was GREAT! The cabins are normal size, we had a balcony, but seemed to have more storage then on other ships. Our room steward was nice and friendly but we had to continually ask for towels. The pool waiters were rude and slow. Some of the staff all over the ship were not very friendly at all. Especially in the Manhattan restaurant. The food was very good, when it was finally served to you. The NCL app is worthless. Worked once the entire 7 day cruise. A lot of passengers had the same issue. The bottle water policy is the worst. They only give you one liter bottles that barely fit in the frig. This ship was totally understaffed. It was a pretty ship but I stil think the best ship is the Getaway. Read Less

Because of the possibility to join a group of solo travelers. Our daily meeting and the accompanying cruise member (Ankica) who helped us participate in different activities. The Studio stateroom and studio lounge made it easy to meet other travelers. I purchased credits at the Cruises Next desk which will be used in the near future I will recommend NCL to my friends. That being said. I would like to point out a few things that I thought could be improved: 1. Being a Karaoke fan, I thought the song selections was OK but limited. It should include more songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s (for the middle age group). I personally own a large selection and brought a list with me to help me find songs to sign but could only find a few. 2. I would have liked to see a Golf simulator. I REALLY enjoyed the Go Cart track. Loads of fun! Read Less
