We chose this cruise because Bermuda was on my husband's bucket list. We had sailed this ship a couple times before. We stayed the night before at a hotel where we could leave our car. Carnival changed our itinerary from Bermuda to the Bahamas due to hurricane Lee. While we were really looking forward to experiencing Bermuda again after 11 years, we fully understand that the safety of the crew, passangers and ship have to come first.

We didn't get to spend 3 days in Bermuda due to hurricane. Instead we went to the Bahamas. Carnival gave us $200 OBC which we used for the Chef's table. I'm fine with Safety first.
The Cabin was fine; bed was comfortable, and our Steward was terrific. Internet was good; better than my experiences on HAL & Celebrity.

At the request of 2 family members I chose a short get-a-way and it was a balcony cabin for $70...can't beat that.

Chose this ship because it sailed out of our home port area. The convince of leaving from a home port is a plus. This was our third cruise but first time on Carnival. I wasn’t as impressed as I was on our Royal Caribbean cruises but we still had a great time. The dinning room food was just okay and shows were good but not enough variety.

This review is more about the port than the cruise. We arrived by car and got in line to park at 11:00am. We didn't board the ship until 4:00pm! Norfolk is clearly not capable of handling a ship with this many passengers. First run fresh from the yards, Norfolk was easy on, just don't get there before your boarding time because you will wait. We had the aft balcony stateroom, nice large balcony. The ship looks great for a 20 yr old vessel. Food was better than we expected, steak house knocked it out of the park. Chose this cruise because departure port was close to home. Overall very satisfied. Excursion was cancelled because of wind, but we did get on another excursion.The cabin stewards and buffet area tables cleaning staff work extremely hard with barely a minutes break and did a fantastic job. We have traveled out of norfolk, va many times on carnival ships, we are platinum cruisers and have had much fun. Another couple came up from charlotte to go with us in a different cabin.
