Manageable Ship : Cabin 5089
Sail Date: December 2017
We enjoyed cabin 5089. There was a lot of hanging space for clothes, and ample shelves in the closet. We liked the midship location, and loved the balcony. The bed was comfortable, and the sofa was nice to have. Read More

One of the biggest disappointments and frustrations of our cruise was the size of our cabin. We were in a triple veranda cabin. The room was so small. We had expected to have at least the same amount of room in this cabin as we'd had on smaller ships given that this was the 2nd largest HAL ship. There was just a foot between the 2 twin beds and when the hide a bed was out there was only 6 inches. In order to get to our balcony we had to slide along the bed in one direction only to get by. Getting into the fridge at night was nearly impossible. We did have wonderful room stewards. We did well for 3 weeks in such close quarters. When my mom inquired she was told all triples on that ship were the same size. Read Less

Bathroom functional and shower over bath suited us, as less likely to flood floor from shower! Towels lovely and big and soft. Balcony the smallest by far that we have had on a cruise but still welcome. Cabin and bathroom appearance okay but not striking. Did like huge tv though and efficient reading lights at bed. Read Less

Well laid out and modern, the bathroom had a decent bathtub and plenty of storage, the hair dryer was handheld and had more power than the wall mounted variety. Usually quiet but we did notice some noise from adjoining rooms. The 5th floor was directly over the lifeboats so we could not see directly into the water and there was alot of noise during tendering operations. The bed was comfortable and there were extra pillows and blankets. A great selection of movies was available for free on the in room entertainment system. Smoking on the balcony was permitted, which bothered us to no end. Read Less
