TSI Offers Cruise Guarantees Through March

Today’s hot news: Travel Services International, an umbrella company that operates cruise-based travel agencies, is launching “Satisfaction” and “Best Price” guarantees on all cruises purchased between January 1 and March 31, 2001. The guarantees apply to bookings through agencies such as Cruises Only, CruiseMasters, The Cruise Line Inc., CruiseOne, Cruises Inc. and mytravelco.com. Specifically, the “Satisfaction” guarantee allows passengers/TSI customers who have spent 24 hours or less onboard and who are not happy with their cruise to disembark and receive a refund for the unused portion of the cruise (very similar to Carnival’s guarantee, which is available to all passengers who book on that line and not limited to specific travel agencies). The “Best Price” guarantee promises that TSI customers will get the best available rate from its cruise counselor -- or that it will match competitors offering better deals as long as the consumer can show proof of a cheaper fare elsewhere.
