(2:15 p.m. EDT) -- A Hungarian TV producer, Mariann Peller, will serve as godmother to Crystal River Cruises' newest vessel, Crystal Ravel.
The christening ceremony for the 106-passenger ship, which sails Danube and Rhine river itineraries, will take place in Budapest on July 11.
A Budapest native, Peller created the hit Hungarian TV show "Virtuosos," a classical music talent show; the show is currently being developed by opera singer Placido Domingo and TV talk show host James Corden for the U.S. and U.K. TV markets.
Peller also founded the Young Virtuosos Foundation, which promotes classical music studies for young artists. Musicians from the program will perform at the christening ceremony, and Crystal Cruises is making a donation to the foundation.
"We are delighted to welcome Mariann Peller to the Crystal Family, as her passion for the classical arts in her home country and around the world is the perfect complement to the spirit of the Crystal River Experience," said Crystal president and CEO, Tom Wolber.
Crystal Ravel is the second river cruise ship to debut from the luxury line this year. In May, Broadway actress Rachel York christened Crystal Debussy in Amsterdam. Crystal River Cruises now has five river cruise vessels in operation: Four Rhine-class ships and Crystal Mozart, which is twice as large as a regular river cruise ship.
