(12.30 p.m. AEST) – Royal Caribbean Cruises has announced a series of new evening shore excursions for the cruise line’s first-ever overnight call to Noumea on 17 November 2018.
Passengers onboard Ovation of the Seas will have almost two full days to explore Noumea and venture further afield, with the ship scheduled to dock at 8 a.m. on 17 November and depart at 5 p.m. the following day.
The new excursions range from a sunset sailing experience on a luxury high-speed yacht to a cultural show with time to soak up the lively nightlife at Lemon Bay. A seven-hour excursion to the south of Noumea, which includes a visit to the village of La Conception and a picnic lunch at La Madeleine waterfall, is also available.
The overnight stay is part of a nine-night South Pacific cruise leaving Sydney on 14 November 2018, which also visits Mystery Island in Vanuatu.
