(5 p.m. BST) -- Bust out your brown lipstick and BritPop CDs. Next autumn, Marella Cruises' new ship Marella Explorer will host a 90s theme cruise, the line revealed Thursday during an announcement onboard the vessel.

Executives said the decision was made following successful sales of Marella's 80s-themed voyage, which will set sail this September on Marella Discovery and feature special guests like Sara Cox and Trevor Nelson.

The Marella Explorer sailing will be scheduled for September 2019; further details are not yet available.

Marella Cruises took delivery of Marella Explorer yesterday. It is currently docked in Palma de Mallorca ahead of its christening tonight. It will embark on its first voyage with the line next week.

The 1,924-passenger ship is the largest in Marella's fleet and boasts 10 bars, 10 restaurants, a combination nightclub and casino, 13 new production shows and a massive spa offering first-at-sea treatments via a partnership with land-based luxury spa brand Champneys.
