MSC Armonia in Havana

(11:15 a.m. EDT) -- MSC Armonia will join fleetmates MSC Seaside and MSC Divina in homeporting from Miami starting December 10, 2018. The ship will sail seven-night cruises to Cuba.

The new seven-night itinerary will see MSC Armonia depart from Miami on Mondays, calling in Montego Bay, Jamaica; Georgetown, Cayman Islands; Cozumel, Mexico; and Havana, Cuba, for an overnight on Saturday.

MSC Armonia previously sailed Cuba itineraries from Havana; these cruises have never been available to U.S. passengers.

The addition of MSC Armonia in Miami marks two firsts for MSC Cruise: the first time the cruise line has sailed to Cuba from a U.S. homeport and the first time the line has homeported three ships in the U.S.

"Miami is known internationally as the 'Cruise Capital of the World' and it is often referred to as the world's leading cruise port ... This new MSC Cruises product out of Miami allows us to further enrich our offer to North American guests," said Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises.

MSC Meraviglia, which launched in Europe in summer 2017, will reposition to Miami for the winter 2019-2020 season.
