(3:15 p.m. EST) -- Passengers who sail with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises will have one less password to worry about under a new single log-in system for the cruise lines' website and apps.
The affiliated cruise lines' enhanced "Guest Digital Experience" promises to simplify things for customers, allowing them to use one universal log-in and password to access the Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises websites and their apps, the cruise lines say.
The new system will provide access to itineraries, trip details and the company's Crown & Anchor Society loyalty program. The new system is currently being tested on a trial basis, and will be rolled out to all passengers in the future.
Reactions to the new single log-in are already flooding in on the Cruise Critic message boards.
As part of the improvement, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. has also addressed account security and procedures to reset passwords.
It's unclear whether the single log-in will include other RCCL subsidiaries, such as Azamara Club Cruises. Cruise Critic is awaiting comment from the company.
