(9:43 a.m. EST) -- Take the perfect selfie on your Holland America cruise? You will soon be able to preserve mobile photos by printing them out or creating keepsake souvenirs, through the line's new linkup with internationally acclaimed photography and imaging company, Fujifilm.
The Wonder Photo Shop, which will be rolled out to more than half the fleet by the end of 2018, will allow passengers to immediately print photos from their mobile phones or memory cards via instant photo machines. Additionally, passengers will be able to customize souvenirs, such as photo books, mugs, shirts, keychains, magnets and mousepads.
Souvenir items will then be produced offsite and shipped to passengers' homes upon returning home from their cruise. Pricing for the new services/products has yet to be revealed.
Veendam was the first ship to receive the new interactive photo center. Throughout the year, it will be added to Maasdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Oosterdam, Prinsendam, Rotterdam, Westerdam and Zaandam.
Other updates to the eight ships' retail offerings include expanded logo merchandise, with new cruise line-branded apparel and co-branded items from partners like BBC Earth, Lincoln Center Stage, B.B. King's Blues Club and America's Test Kitchen. Local artisan products from various ports, as well as jewelry and watches from luxury brand Sofia Fiori, also will be available for purchase.
