(1:15 p.m. EST) -- The first millennial-focused river cruise line, U by Uniworld, will appear on the ABC TV show "The Bachelor" in February.
In the show, the women competing for the love of racecar driver/real estate broker/rejected Bachelorette contender Ari Luyendyk Jr. will live on one of the line's completely refurbished ships, The B. It's a clue that some of the show will be filmed in Paris, as The B is slated to do itineraries on the Seine River.
This will be the first time that the show, which is in its 22nd season, has featured a cruise ship. The episode will air Monday, February 5, at 8 p.m.
The line has developed a special add-on based on the show (cutely called U Get the Rose package) that costs $150 a couple. It mimics the experience seen on the Bachelor and includes a bottle of wine; romantic turn down service with – of course – rose petals; breakfast in bed; a romantic movie on the ship’s deck overlooking Paris; an evening experience for two at the Eiffel Tower; and an evening glamping under the stars on the top deck in a luxury tent for two.
U by Uniworld begins sailing in April with its two 120-passenger European vessels, The A and The B. The programming on the ships, as well as the decor, is designed to appeal to passengers aged 21 to 45.
