Carnival Vista

(11:15 a.m. EST) -- Carnival Cruise Line's third Vista-class ship will be called Carnival Panorama. Scheduled to launch in Fall 2019, the ship is currently under construction at Fincantieri's Marghera shipyard.

"Carnival Panorama is the perfect name to reflect the design inspiration of our Vista-class ships," said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. The class, which started with Carnival Vista in May 2016 and continues with Carnival Horizon in April 2018, was designed to provide more opportunities for passengers to connect with the sea. Several dining venues, for instance, have al fresco seating areas.

"Carnival Panorama will offer a wide variety of fun indoor and outdoor experiences along with exciting one-of-a-kind features that will provide our guests with a lifetime of wonderful vacation memories," Duffy added.

Carnival Panorama will offer most of the same dining, bar, entertainment and activity options as Carnival Vista and Carnival Horizon including the SkyRide, the WaterWorks aqua park, and venues with both indoor and outdoor spaces like Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse, Bonsai Sushi and the Library Bar. Also featured will be the exclusive Havana section with its own Cuban-themed bar and pool, as well as the keycard-protected Family Harbor featuring family-friendly staterooms and the Family Harbor Lounge.

Carnival Panorama's homeport and itinerary, along with other new features, will be announced at a later date.
