(1:40 p.m. EST) -- The next cruise ship coming from Princess Cruises will be named Sky Princess and will debut in the Mediterranean with 10 cruises on eight different itineraries, the line announced today. Launching October 2019, the 3,660-passenger vessel will be the fourth in the line's Royal class of ship.

Sky Princess will have the signature elements of the Royal-class ships, including the large Piazza atrium, Princess Live! entertainment venue, an adults-only Sanctuary and Camp Discovery youth and teen areas. Restaurants onboard will include the Salty Dog Grill, Alfredo's Pizza, Vines Wine Bar, Chef's Table Lumiere and World Fresh Marketplace. It will also have the outdoor Movies Under the Stars theater. Eighty percent of the ship's cabins will have balconies.

Princess Cruises also teased that Sky Princess will have some new features, with details to be revealed in the coming months.

Sky Princess will be one of a record six ships that Princess is dedicating to Europe in 2019. At a press conference yesterday, Princess announced that three ships will be based out of the UK -- Sapphire Princess, Crown Princess and Pacific Princess -- while Regal Princess and Emerald Princess will join Sky Princess in the Mediterranean.

The ship will be available for booking December 14, 2017. Passengers with elite status will be able to book a day early, on December 13, 2017.

Princess has plans for a fifth Royal-class ship, which is also currently under construction at a Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. It's expected to debut in 2020.
