(9:12 a.m. EST) -- Royal Caribbean has revealed three new features onboard Independence of the Seas following its refurbishment in April 2018.

The features include two eateries: a fish and chips shop, an ice cream bar and a sports bar.

In September, the line revealed the 3,634-passenger ship would also feature a new kids' water park called Splashaway Bay aqua park, Izumi Asian restaurant and new panoramic ocean-view cabins.

Other features already announced by Royal include an improved ice rink, a revamped theatre in preparation for Broadway show "Grease", an escape room, top deck trampolines and a laser tag arena.

Positioned next to the Splashaway Bay water park, new restaurant Fish & Ships will feature a menu of quintessentially British seaside treats, including fresh fried cod with chips.

The Sugar Beach Candy & Ice Cream Store sweet shop will sell a range of homemade ice cream and popular sweet treats alongside. It will also offer fun family activities for aspirational bakers.

Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade follows sports games from around the world across 30 big-screen TVs. Passengers can enjoy wings, popcorn shrimp, mini-burgers, fries and draught beer while they watch.

The arcade will feature popular video games, including Ms. Pacman and Star Wars.

Independence of the Seas returns to Southampton, post-refurb, in May 2018.
