(12:20 p.m. EDT) -- To celebrate the 75th anniversary of The New York Times' Crossword Puzzle, Cunard has teamed up with the news organization to offer the Crossword Crossing.
The seven-night transatlantic cruise on Queen Mary 2 will depart December 8, 2017, from New York to Southampton, England. Onboard, passengers will be able to partake in daily game sessions, lectures and other themed activities hosted by crossword experts from the newspaper.
Among the experts will be Deb Amlen, columnist and editor of "Wordplay," The New York Times' crossword column; Joel Fagliano, the organization's digital puzzles editor; and Ben Zimmer, a linguist and lexicographer with experience working for The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, where he's now based.
Passengers also have the option to book an exclusive pre-cruise package that includes brunch at The New York Times, hosted by the "Puzzle Master" Will Shortz.
This is not the first time Cunard has collaborated with the news organization. Experts from The New York Times came onboard Queen Mary 2 January 2016 to host a series of lectures on topics such as national security, climate change and economics.
