(2:50 p.m. EST) -- American Cruise Lines is adding a 10-night Grand New England itinerary to its roster of sailings for the inaugural voyage of new ship American Constellation.
The cruise, which will sail roundtrip out of Boston, will include stops in Bar Harbor and Kennebunkport, Maine; Newport, Rhode Island; and Martha's Vineyard and Provincetown, Massachusetts. Highlights will include an authentic lobster bake on the shore of Penobscot Bay, a tour of Newport and the Breakers Mansion, and a guided tour of Acadia National Park. A one-night pre-cruise Boston package will also be available for those who want to see more of Beantown.
The first Grand New England cruise will be May 21, which is also the inaugural sailing of the line's new ship. The itinerary will be offered through the summer of 2017 and into September.
American Constellation, a 165-passenger coastal cruise ship, which was built in the USA, will feature a fitness center, laundry room, putting green, elevator access to all decks, free Wi-Fi, and unlimited soda, coffee, tea and snacks.
