(2:45 p.m. EST) -- Beginning in March 2018, Lindblad Expeditions' National Geographic Orion will sail a variety of one- and two-week itineraries to the South Pacific and French Polynesia, with stops in Fiji, the Cook Islands, Easter Island and more.

Orion will spend the 2018 spring and summer season (March through August) sailing five new itineraries that include: 18-day Easter Island to Tahiti; 16-day Tahiti to Marquesas; 16-day Cook Island to Fiji; 9-day French Polynesia; and 9-day Southern Line Islands with Moorea. Prices start from $7,690 per person and if you book by March 31, 2017, round-trip airfare from Los Angeles is complimentary.

These sailings include gratuities, drinks and the use of water sports gear like kayaks, paddleboards, snorkel gear, a glass bottom boat and even a SCUBA program that accommodates 24 passengers at one time with two dive masters.

Highlights of the voyages span from snorkeling a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve or the Pitcairn Islands to watching the ship navigate the lagoon at Rangiroa (one of the largest atolls in the world) to exploring the hidden waterfalls of the Marquesas island group or participating in cultural activities in Samoa.
