(12:25 p.m EDT) -- Royal Caribbean is testing one-day beverage packages, as well as a 10-drink punch card on its ships.
"Ships have been given the option to test different beverage package offerings onboard," Celia de la Llama, a spokesperson for Royal Caribbean, told Cruise Critic. "The decision of which program to offer, if any, is made by the ship."
De la Llama did not say why the line is testing these new programs, but did emphasize that the offerings are tests and might or might not be rolled out in the future.
A reader of RoyalCaribbeanBlog.com spotted one such trial while sailing on Enchantment of the Seas. The one-day beverage package was offered for $65 per person and included unlimited beers, cocktails and select glasses of wine, as well as bottled water, juices and specialty coffees.
