lindblad expeditions' national geographic sea lion with an Alaskan glacier in the back

(1:49 p.m. EST) – Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic has updated the interiors on its twin 62-passenger adventure cruise ships. Areas overhauled included all passenger rooms, the lounge and bar, dining room, spa and public spaces on both National Geographic Sea Lion and National Geographic Sea Bird.

Highlights of the renovations include:

  • The lounge and bar has been completely reconfigured and redesigned to provide additional seating and easier movement throughout the space. The lounge also hosts a new food and beverage area, library and Global Market (the line's shipboard shop for all things locally crafted);

  • The wine bar has been reformatted to feature a display of wines from regions the ships explore;

  • All cabin furnishings have been replaced and now feature aged cherry bed boxes, faux leather headboards, new windows and lighting and additional USB outlets. Bathrooms also were updated.

    National Geographic Sea Bird and National Geographic Sea Lion sail in Alaska; Baja, California; the Pacific Northwest; Costa Rica and Panama.
