(9:00 a.m. EST) -- Rob Brydon will front P&O Cruises' new advertising campaign, which will launch on Christmas Day.
In the 60-second commercial the TV funnyman walks viewers through the full cruise experience with witty observations and down-to-earth humour –- seen through the eyes of a cruise newcomer.
The ad forms part of P&O Cruises' new multi-million pound marketing campaign called 'This is the life' which aims to attract new cruisers in 2015.
Brydon said: "P&O Cruises is a classic British brand, and I was delighted to be asked to work with them. Filming onboard was great fun and I really believe the advert brings to life what 'This is the life' is all about."
P&O Cruises' marketing director Christopher Edgington said: "Rob Brydon is the perfect embodiment of a newcomer to cruise who brings his own personality and sense of adventure and fun to cruise.
"Rob was the obvious choice to front the campaign as he is well loved with a great sense of humour and it is easy for potential customers to imagine themselves in his shoes."
Edgington added: "I remain disappointed that only 1.8 million people in the UK cruised last year and it's incumbent upon us to get as many people as possible to try a holiday at sea."
The new campaign comes ahead of the March launch of Britannia, P&O Cruises' new ship and the largest ever built specifically for the UK market.
Last week, P&O Cruises revealed more artwork that will take centre stage onboard as well as the number of different types of beers -- 70.
