Scenic Spirit

(4:00 p.m. EST) -- Scenic Cruises' newest ship, Scenic Spirit, will debut in 2016 on the Mekong, according to the cruise line, which has just released details for the vessel.

The 68-passenger riverboat will sail a variety of Asia sailings, ranging in length from eight to 27 days. All 34 of the ship's cabins are suites, ranging in size from 350 to 865 square feet. All offer separate bedrooms, living rooms and balconies.

Unlike most other river vessels, Scenic Spirit will feature four onboard restaurants, as well as a pool deck with a bar and a full spa that includes a sauna and steam room. Additionally, the sun deck boasts an open-air movie screen, and passengers will benefit from a 1:1 crew-to-cruiser ratio.

Although brochures won't be available until mid-December, bookings are now open for sailings aboard the ship.
