We’re Watching ... and Waiting For Tuesday’s Quantum of the Seas Cruise Ship Reveal

April 12, 2013
(1:16 p.m. EDT) -- All eyes, including ours, will be on Royal Caribbean on Tuesday, April 16 – start time 10 a.m. EDT – as the line unveils several of the new-to-cruise features on tap for the 158,000-ton, 4,100-passenger Quantum of the Seas. Cruise Critic will be reporting live from the New York event, which will also be streamed live (stay tuned for details on where to tune in).

The ship, currently under construction at Meyer Werft's yard in Papenberg, Germany, is already a hot topic of conversation on Cruise Critic's forums (don't miss a chance to speculate on what one of the new features could be at our poll.)

Among the expected announcements about Quantum will be two to three cruise ship enhancements that are new, not only to Royal Caribbean, but to the industry as well. We're hearing whispers of various multi-functional day-to-night public spaces, as well as state-of-the art environmental technologies.

You'll know just as soon as we do, whether Cruise Critic member speculations of a covered pool and loft studios were on the mark or not.
