(9:45 a.m. EDT) -- To celebrate the upcoming holiday season, Cruise & Maritime Voyages, one of the U.K.'s newest home-grown cruise lines, is offering Cruise Critic an exclusive opportunity to give away two pairs of tickets to a free “welcome aboard” lunch and tour of its classic ship, Marco Polo. The five-course lunch, ship tour and meeting with the captain, and post-meal theatrical performance is available only on Tuesday, 13th December. The ship is docked at Tilbury, Essex, and free parking will be provided.
In order to win, you must participate in our Marco Polo 'fill-in-the-blanks' contest (below) to qualify. All entries must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011 (please include your name and telephone number). Correct responses will be drawn randomly on Friday, November 4, 2011 and our two winners will be notified no later than Monday, November 7, 2011.
Here are the questions, and good luck!
- Marco Polo was originally built in which country?
- Under which country's flag did Marco Polo originally sail? (Here's a hint: The statue pictured above is a clue).
- Marco Polo wasn't originally constructed as a cruise ship. What kind of ship was it first?
