Tropical Storm Jose Brushes by Bermuda; No Impact to Cruisers

August 28, 2011

(Updated 2:25 p.m. EDT) -- Tropical Storm Jose, with sustained winds of 45 miles per hour, formed early today and passed just to the west of Bermuda.

The storm is expected to weaken quickly after it passes. In other words: It's not the monster that Irene has been and won't impact cruise travel.

Several ships are due in port on Monday, including Explorer of the Seas and Norwegian Dawn, but spokeswomen for Royal Caribbean and Norwegian tell us that no itinerary changes are planned.
