Get Ship Shape with Mr Motivator and Princess Cruises

MR Motivator Fitness Cruise on Ruby Princess

This summer, passengers onboard Ruby Princess really will be able to get ship shape -- with the help of U.K. television's Mr Motivator.

The flamboyant fitness instructor who found fame on breakfast show "GMTV" will be stepping out (in his bright fitness gear, no doubt!) on Princess Cruises' newest ship this June to kick off his "Mr Motivator's Bikini Diet," a free 28-day program to get fit for summer.

Each day for one week, starting Monday, 15 June, "GMTV" will be broadcasting live from a different port onboard Ruby Princess, as the ship sails a 12-night Greek Isles and Mediterranean cruise. Mr Motivator will be hosting on-deck workouts with Australian dancer Deanne Berry to help the nation get fit.

Three women have also been selected by "GMTV" to join the ship for a week of healthy living. Dubbed the "Bikini Ladies," they represent three typical body types -- apple shaped, pear shaped and tofi ("thin on the outside, fat inside"). They will be put through their paces in the ship's gym, learn how to prepare recipes and follow a Mediterranean diet with the line's Italian executive chef, and get active ashore on some of the ship's organised shore excursions.

In a statement from the cruise line, Pieter van der Schee, head of brand marketing for Princess Cruises, is quoted as saying: "We know cruise passengers are choosing more and more healthy options onboard and this fits perfectly with GMTV's focus to get the nation motivated and it gives us a great opportunity to show off the iconic features onboard Ruby Princess."
