(10:54 a.m. EDT) -- Carnival Cruise Line has taken delivery of Carnival Panorama, its third -- and final -- Vista-class cruise ship, at Fincantieri's Marghera shipyard in Italy. The three Vista-class vessels are the largest the shipyard has built for the line.
"Carnival Panorama is the 15th ship built by Fincantieri for Carnival Cruise Line and once again, the skill and hard work of hundreds of talented craftspeople are on display here aboard the beautiful Carnival Panorama," said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. "Our guests absolutely love Carnival Vista and Horizon and we are certain they are going to love their sister Carnival Panorama."
Duffy was joined at the shipyard by Panorama's captain Carlo Queirolo; Giampiero Massolo, chairman of Fincantieri; Giuseppe Bono, CEO of Fincantieri; and Antonio Quintano, the Marghera shipyard director.
Carnival Panorama will debut in Long Beach, California on December 11, 2019. Starting December 14, it will sail year-round, seven-night voyages to Mexico.
Highlights include the Sky Zone trampoline park (for which pricing was released last week), a SkyRide, a WaterWorks aqua park and ropes course, Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse and Brewhouse, and a variety of room categories including Cloud 9 Spa staterooms, Havana Cabanas and the keycard-protected Family Harbor section of cabins.
