(1:35 p.m. EDT) -- For its 2019/2020 season, Carnival Cruise Line will offer more than 40 cruises to Bermuda -- a record number for the line -- with eight of the sailings departing from either Baltimore or Charleston.
Six ships -- Carnival Breeze, Carnival Magic, Carnival Pride, Carnival Radiance, Carnival Sunshine and Carnival Sunrise -- will set sail between now and next year on four- to nine-night cruises to Bermuda from five eastern seaboard homeports: Baltimore, Charleston, New York, Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral (Orlando).
Carnival Pride will sail seven weeklong cruises out of Baltimore that spend three nights each in Bermuda.
Carnival Sunshine, which sails year-round from Charleston as of May 2019, will offer one voyage to Bermuda that spends two nights there with one on private island Princess Cays. Sunshine was scheduled to be the largest ship to ever call on Havana before the Cuba travel ban took effect in early June.
Carnival Sunrise and Carnival Radiance will sail regular nine-night Bermuda voyages out of New York.
"Guest feedback on our Bermuda program has been nothing short of sensational and we're delighted to expand our offerings to provide even more guests an opportunity to experience all this tropical island paradise has to offer," said Fred Stein, Carnival's vice president of revenue planning and deployment, in a news release.
Carnival is the only cruise line to offer round-trip Bermuda cruises from Charleston, Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale.
