(1:44 p.m. EDT) -- Silver Origin, Silversea's newest ship, which will launch in July 2020, is opening for sales on July 16.

Designed entirely for Galapagos voyages, Silver Origin can accommodate 100 passengers per cruise and will include regionally inspired cuisine and informative lectures onboard.

Silver Origin will take over for Silversea's retiring Silver Galapagos by alternating two seven-night itineraries between Baltra and San Cristobal. Baltra to San Cristobal, the ship's north central itinerary, will be a circumnavigation of Isla Daphne Major, which includes snorkeling opportunities and the chance to explore lava flows at Sullivan Bay. San Cristobal to Baltra, the vessel's westbound itinerary, is a circumnavigation of Kicker Rock, including Pinnacle Rock, Buccaneer's Cove and other destinations.

In addition to the regular seven-night itineraries, two special extended voyages are planned for the 2020 holiday season. One departs San Cristobal on December 19, 2020, for an 11-night voyage to Baltra, and the second departs Baltra on December 29, 2020, for a 12-night New Year's cruise to San Cristobal.

All of Silver Origin's cabins are suites, which fall into eight categories, including one Owner's Suite, one Grand Suite, one Royal Suite, two Silver Suites, one Medallion Suite, seven Deluxe Veranda Suites, 16 Superior Veranda Suites and 22 Classic Veranda Suites, many of which can connect for larger groups and families.

Stateroom amenities include a mini-bars stocked with local snacks, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages; plush robes and slippers; 24-hour room service and in-suite dining; unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi; and complimentary expedition gear (waterproof backpack, raincoat and reusable water bottle).
