(5:25 p.m. EDT) – Disney Cruise Line has revealed upgrades to Disney Wonder, which include a New Orleans-style venue, that will debut on a September 2019 voyage from Vancouver to San Diego -- just in time for the ship's spring 2020 season sailing from the Louisiana homeport.

The New Orleans-inspired lounge will be modeled after the French Quarter and feature live music and themed activities for all ages. Designed to bring the setting of "The Princess and the Frog" to life, the lounge will complement the existing Tiana's Place restaurant onboard.

Two new retreats -- one for teens and one for adults -- also are on the list of Disney Wonder's upgrades. Vibe, the designated teen club for ages 14 to 17, will be redesigned with a lighter color scheme and industrial metal accents. It will also receive updated virtual reality technology and a new coffee bar.

The Cove cafe, located in the ship's adults-only enclave, also will get a redesign with new decor and a coffee shop-inspired look and feel. Signals Bar will be updated with a similar look.

Starting February 7, 2020, Disney Wonder will sail Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries out of New Orleans. The ship will follow with two special sailings to the Hawaiian islands before returning to Alaska.
