(1:20 p.m. BST) -- Cunard has collaborated with legendary milliner, Stephen Jones OBE to create a stunning red hat that was unveiled onboard Queen Mary 2 today.
The hat is inspired by the iconic Cunard fleet and will form part of the fashion show during QM2's Transatlantic Fashion Week sailing, departing from New York on July 28, 2019.
Stephen said: "I wanted to design something that was strong and bold - yet elegant and regal, like a crown. The hat is a nod to the beauty of the sea but also the glamour of ocean travel that Cunard epitomises.
"The look and feel is modern and contemporary and could be for the British Social Season. I’m particularly looking forward to seeing the hat being worn at Gold Cup Day, Royal Ascot in a few weeks' time."
The British hat designer, who counts Princess Eugenie and the Duchess of Sussex among his clients, will also host a series of talks and Q&A sessions onboard the fashion-themed sailing, joined by Stuart Weitzman, Hilary Alexander OBE and Lindy Woodhead.
